And that HC may have no interest in Hurts but will be tied to him. It’s an all round bad bad situation. They should have fired Sirianni and brought in a HC to try and focus on getting something out of Hurts.

You don't think that He will likely continue to play in the NFL for some time and could very concievably return to greatness in the right situation? Many QBs mature into their 30s; it is always the mental part of the game that comes last. The right coaches and surrounding cast could make all the difference.

Quite simply no. The overwhelming evidence is that 2022 was an outlier. Hurts is and has been a turnover machine. He does it with consistency.

He is getting paid where he should never miss a 3 yard pass by 5 yards. Hurts has been beyond lucky to be surrounded with a legit supporting cast. McNabb would have SBs if he had these weapons

Even so "Never should miss a pass..." All QBs have ugly passes sometimes. He does have a legit supporting cast, but they're also injured. McNabb had a pretty decent supporting cast for the back half of his career and still stb.

You act like these people aren’t PROFESSIONALS. Look perhaps they end up in a system they can’t adjust to or lack talent around them. But to suggest that they need time to develop mentally is crazy. Even Siriani talks about "lacking fundamentals”. If you lack basic fundamentals at this point you shouldn’t be playing in the NFL.

I mean he’s shown he needs consistency in his coaching staff to be consistent. He will go through yet another new coordinator next year I assume. I think it’s asking a lot for this team to be consistent enough at the coaches to ever see MVP Jalen again.
September 29, 20241 yr Now, I am of the belief that we have seen the best of Jalen as a QB. He is way too inconsistent. He needs a lot of help to function well. That isn't a good reflection on him as a leader, as a QB. It isn't just about today either. It's been over an entire 20 games. What's holding this offense back is Jalen. (We'll get to the defense later) if we had a stiff like Cousins, our offense would hum. Quick decisions, repetitive accuracy, strong arm, plenty of velocity, can legitimately make all the throws.
September 29, 20241 yr You guys expect Jalen to look like an MVP without Lane blocking, and no Smith or Brown to throw to? I think it's silly to expect him to be superman without those guys, while the defense also can't stop Tampa from doing whatever they want on offense. It's easy to just blame the qb, and I'm certain the playcalling would've been more balanced had we not been down 24-0. He's definitely got to take care of the ball better, that's 100% on him, but a more balanced offense and a defense that can actually get off the field helps with that.

You will feel much better when you stop making excuses for the guy. It’s Wentz 2.0 on the field and Wentz 2.0 apologists on the boards.
