Another week of successful brotherly shove plays means the media going nuts again.

SVP and Tim Hassleback just defended it on Sportscenter

The coach is allowed to have fun and celebrate with his team sometimes.  I much prefer that to the days of Reid standing on the sideline with an emotionless blank stare no matter what is happening in the game, looking like he's about to fall asleep

In case anyone is still wondering who Dolphins #15 is, I looked him up. He’s Jaelan Phillips, well-paid linebacker. Apparently he can’t spell "Jalen” like an intelligent person.

I was hard on him, too. He did come through here tonight. But I still maintain he’s been holding the ball longer and looking more tentative this year as a whole. And perhaps that’s entirely a result of coaching changes.

He should have thrown it away a few times, but did a Cason Wentz and tried to play hero ball. That needs to stop.

Haha, that was a heartwarming classic right there.  Doesn't disprove that Reid's sideline demeanor was what I described about 97% of the time though

It would have been pretty easy for Hurts to capitulate after throwing the pick 6 with the way the game ended last week. It speaks volumes of his character and ability as a leader to bounce back right away and lead them for a TD drive

I wasn't following the gameday thread while the game was on, so I don't know if this has already been discussed, but somebody needs to tell Kelce to wear different color gloves than the rest of the line. That's twice now he has been called for lining up offsides because they thought it was the LG's hand.

Agreed... something bright and obnoxious as hell if allowed... like pink or fluorescent green

Yeah i didnt mind the pick 6 so much since it was a freak play, but that first fumble was totally inexcusable.

A good game, the defense was solid again and Desai deserves a ton of credit for the way he's keeping it tight with bums like Edmunds out there.

On offense again the pass protection was either iron curtain or free rusher in 1.5 seconds, it's weird, regardless of the touchdown, Gainwell needs to be strictly a 3rd down back, Swift is the best tailback on the roster and it's not close. Also I said it last week and it was the same this, Johnson need to stop calling so much empty backfield stuff, just keep it simple and keep the defense honest. Hurts needs to stop the turnovers at big points.

But all said and done it's another opponent 'that was going to destroy our defense' according to the bed wetters on here, that has been seen off fairly easily.

6-1 on we go.

Media can't worship them this week. They'll blame injuries, but they never care when we have so many injuries

I don’t know they’ll still try. They’ll still say this as a big test for them and that they acquitted themselves well or some BS.

The score is closer than the game actually was. The Eagles kept them in this with some bad turnovers.

They did yeah! Without those turnovers I think the eagles were at least 3 scores better than Miami.

Just watched the highlights. How good did the uniforms look? Loved the whole feel of the night with the old logo everywhere, even on the scores on tv.

AJ brown is some player - probably the second best receiver in the league after tyreek? That long catch in the 4th quarter was it? amazing, great throw from hurts too.

Hurts did look like he was having trouble with the ball from the snap? seemed to bobble around quite a bit. He's still holding onto it too long at times, needs to just throw it away. However, he more than made up for with the brotherly shove coonversions - 4/4 ? Its just unstoppable. Love the sound of the grunting from all the players when they do it, and the dolphins players jumping all over the pile helpless to stop it. Glorious.

Another good game from Goedert and swift.

Nice game from desai with the banged up secondary. Ricks looks to have something about him

I watched the first half, then listened to the radio until Big Play Slay made the INT. I knew we'd be alright. We for real, they not.

It was a weird game. We felt in complete control virtually throughout the game but allowed them to stay close. At 17-17 it felt like things could have unravelled but credit to the team they didn’t allow that to change the momentum.

Excellent game. I’m too lazy to look it up but I bet the usual suspects were ****ing and moaning in this thread for 90% of the time.

It’s time to stop this absurd negativity.

Wasn’t perfect, sure. I think at times our OL looks like crap. Don’t like that Hurts has to save us so much with his legs, really don’t. I do like that he slides earlier and sometimes just throws it away. And I don’t even care if someone appears to be open he is protecting himself more which is a good thing even if it may look bad at times. All in all we finally managed to get all weapons involved and even better: We got the big plays when it mattered most.

I could go on and on about how happy it makes me to have people that can catch the ball. I have had it with the drops. And even worse how the focus would be on everything else when clearly we had nobody that scares a defense. That’s in the past. We got three stars catching.

Wasn’t my personal highlight though. I am just stunned, yes over the frikking moon actually how amazing the DL looks. Watching Davis and Carter destroy and absolutely dominate the ‘best’ offense in the NFL is just something else.

The amount of young star talent on both sides just feels good.

Anyways, this was a big prime time game against a good team. And I will enjoy that feeling. I love how we have turned into a very professional, talented and successful franchise.

Stop doubting us!!!

Go Birds! Wooohhooo! :Eagle_smiley:

Fantastic win!!

Great job Defense!!

Seems as if the Offense is a tad bit shaken at times. Turnovers and play calling. 🙃

Collinsworthless spun it as "they needed this" test.

I've just re read back the entire thread. Some moaning little ****es on here slagging all the players and coaches.

Get a grip you fannies.

Agree on all points.

Was awesome to see the Kelly Green last night, brought me back to my youth!  Eagles mostly played well last night on both sides of the ball and getting a big win against a hot team is definitely a good thing.

That said, the Eagles were fortunate last night, too.  Hill dropping that pass in the RZ that would have been a TD...that would have certainly changed the complexion of the game.  Then there was the no-call facemask on Bradberry...not sure how that was missed.  I think that was a 4th down play in the RZ at that point, right?  That was a huge no-call.  Again...lucky.

I don't know if Lurie put some extra cash in the Refs' pockets because it was Kelly Green night, but I almost find it impossible that the Eagles would have no penalties called against them while the other team is getting hammered with them.

I still think something is off with this team.  Hurts' turnovers are brutal, but he battles and makes some great plays as well.  Hopefully whatever is going on with his leg/knee is not serious, but it's at least a little concerning.  That first RZ sequence was again mind boggling.  Stop with the designed QB runs and for the love of God, stop playing Gainwell in the RZ.  That needs to be Swift. If you want to get Gainwell carries, fine, do that elsewhere and not in the RZ.  I know he scored later, but overall his running this year is uninspiring.

The OL seems inconsistent this year.  The DL played well, but I thought they would have played a little better given the injuries to Miami's OL.  In neutral game situations, the pressure was so-so.  Loved seeing the run-stuffing in the first half, but then Miami adjusted and got to the edges in the 2nd half.

I don't know what it is, but I feel like I still can't thoroughly enjoy a win yet this year.  Don't get me wrong, I'm always happy with the W, but there still hasn't been a game this year where I feel like we played a compete game and without symptoms of their ongoing concerns.

Great win last night. I was unable to see the entire thing but as usual I came here a few times and of course, some people whining like we are down by 50 points....I get it, we are fans but stand behind the Birds especially the fact that we are now 6-1....please stop with the Hurts bashing, I know his play is just a little concerning but he always rights the ship. Those turnovers are still mostly not his fault from what I can tell and that is not me making excuses.....be behind whoever is under center, people and right now that is Jalen Hurts....let's remember he took us all the way to the superbowl last year. Honestly, I expected the Birds to be brutal this year after reaching the bowl as history ALWAYS shows us a very sharp decline the next year but look at where we are.....

Guys, I think we need to take a moment to recognize Lane

Dude fought threw an injury and made a SIGNIFICANT difference tonight

This was probably Lane’s worst game in three years, but he was still 100 times better than Driscoll.

And said they’d come through it well. I mean it wasn’t what I saw but sure do your thing Collinsworth.

So after I was ripping Hurts for his turnovers, I have to say this... it's good to know that we have a QB who can shrug off his mistakes, keep on playing and win games. That's a really good thing to see. So next time he screws up, I'm just going to hang in there, because the game isn't over for Hurts until the clock shows ZERO. Respect.
