Very true.  Then again, if dirtstar is confused by my post, most would agree it makes perfect sense when you consider he's objectively retarded.

How about the broken process that allows somebody the military will not allow to have a gun, make threats to shoot places, trigger LE checks, and he still goes out and kills people?

That's....that's my point.  They've known this guy was mentally unstable since the spring and essentially did nothing.  Tried to talk to him a few times, couldn't find him, and shrugged their shoulders.

I wonder what would happen if someone proposed a mechanism to take guns away from people like this?  I feel a large but specific segment of our population wouldn't support that.

I think a large portion just believes what 'The View' tells them to believe.  They are doing background checks in NY State to buy ammo now, not check ID but full background checks.  I live in PA on the border of New York state and it sure is helping the sporting goods stores in PA.  It is pretty easy in PA to get a carry permit but when I was renewing mine last time I witnesses them turning someone down for a permit after the background check.  The big problem is that they are not enforcing the gun laws and, in the case of the last mass shooter, just letting people with mental illness go unchecked and unreported.  They need to enforce the laws they have now instead of making new laws that criminals will ignore and will not be enforced anyway.

STUNNING BRAVE - iFunny

it's no surprise to anyone that those who despise prayers despise thoughts just as much.
