Slay quietly had surgery - hopes to be back by end of season

This is bad news. Our secondary has been horrid and Slay has been about the only decent part of it. Losing him is going to make these next 4 games very difficult. This has rash implications for the #1 or #2 seed.

I think this injury will show everyone that Slay is less important than everyone thought.

He may do a better job of doing his job than anyone else in the secondary, but that doesn’t matter much if he’s not good enough to shadow and contain one weapon (he’s not) and the rest of the secondary is just giving up plays left and right.  Maybe we’ll get treated to watching Ringo getting beaten more, but the net result with the secondary isn’t going to be any worse without Slay.

And the hits keep coming. DK is going to have a field day Monday night.

DK had a field day the last time he lined up against Slay...not sure how much worse it can be.

Not worried about Opeta, he's a good backup to have

Interesting they have gone for Opeta over Steen

does anybody have surgery loudly?

i always had anesthesia

Patrecia taking over defense, Slay said peace out I gotta get knee surgery.

The good news is the Eagles already clinched a playoff berth and Slay should be back in January.  This is his last chance to get his knee cleaned up and still have a shot at playing during the playoffs run.
