JP, is that you?

I wish.

And JP has already removed himself from the game to catch his breath.

Didnt Doug just say yesterday that JP would be playing G?   What changed? The suckage of Mailata/Pryor?

JP came into his office this morning.

Howie said it for sure I don’t know about Doug.  But Howie also said JP is the greatest team player in the world and would do anything they ask because he’s such a good guy.  🙄

"Offsides, number 71...."

Props to Cordy Glenn,  came in, looked good in the workout and made JP come to his senses.

I'm not surprised. They really had almost no choice.  But, I don't see Peters staying healthy. He can't get through a season now without getting banged up. So, they would still be wise to find a backup option whether it's Glenn or someone else.

Glenn will be the 6th man, we're good to go.

Huh?

I dont know that he's ever been called offsides.

False starts, yes... but offside? He'd have to line up wrong to do that.

I'm guessing Glenn wont get signed until after week 1 at this point, if they haven't signed him by now.

Don't want to garuntee that salary.

this is overblown.  He'd miss a few plays here and there.  Very unappreciated in Philly.  As is Ertz.

He is 39 years old. The body gets a lot of wear and tear after playing over a decade in the NFL. He's been having to deal with 300 lb dudes for over 15 years.  It has nothing to do with being underappreciated. It has to do with science and aging.

Only played 74.9% of snaps last year.  Hasn’t played more than 80% since 2016.

Unappreciated?

Howie probably slipped him some under-the-table money and JP took it and agreed to slide over.

The eagles didn't want a 39 yr old LT, but JP is a pretty damn good plan B.

I feel a bit better with him there than our other two current options.

I feel a LOT better with him over Mailata or Pryor.  I actually like Pryor but he has zero position versatility, dude is a straight up RG.  Mailata's real target date for playing time is next year.  Cordy Glenn should be serviceable as a 6th man, that's it.

Well I wasn’t exactly going out on a limb haha.

He doesn't deserve it. He came back on the contract he came back on. Maybe this was all a none issue to start with... But if he did at first refuse to play LT unless he was paid more then that's absolutely not a good move.

Next time your boss tells you that even though you rake leaves for 10 bucks an hour, but tomorrow you are going to start a new job cutting trees, which pays 15 bucks an hour. But we're still gonna pay you 10, make sure you call JP so he can weigh in to see if you deserve the 15 or not.
