Like I said it would make no sense to fire BJ and keep Siri. They both go or both stay.

This is definitely not a knee jerk reaction. The locker room has had issues longer than this collapse. I just worry about the process. Will there be another process of taking months while all the best candidates get hired and we get stuck with yet another WR coach being touted as a head coach again or will they go out and quickly get a viable option?

Remember, Lurie isn't known to hire the big name candidate. He's known for hiring relatively unknown coaches. The biggest name that he hired was Chip Kelly, and we know how that worked out.

So I wouldn't expect him to jump out and go for a Belichick or even Harbaugh.

I really do hope they don’t mess around this time.

I think they know they have a "win now” roster - especially on offense and that window may be 1-2 seasons - so I doubt they bring in a younger, unproven coach - logic would dictate bringing in a proven coach that they can win "now” with.

Not Belichick because pretty sure he’s not a fan of Belichick because of their history.

But a guy like Vrabel might make sense to them.

I wonder what the dynamic was with the Titans for Vrabel and the GM. Vrable seems more like a coach type guy and not a player type guy so might be attractive for Howie and Luire but i could be completely off base there.

There's always a first of course, but Lurie's never hired a former NFL Head Coach to be the head coach. Ray Rhodes, Andy Reid, Chip Kelly, Doug Pederson and Nick Siriana. Other than Kelly, all assistant coaches.

That doesn't mean that he won't go after one of those fired head coaches, or Harbaugh. Just that it's not part of his MO.

after seeing him yesterday looking like he did on tv, i'm beginning to wonder if he is questioning his strategy in hiring a coach. he looked pissed.

I doubt he's questioning his overall strategy. All of the coaches that he hired went on to win double digits and make the playoffs by their second season and three of the five took us to the Super Bowl.

He might be second guessing this particular hire, but I'm thinking that he'll trust his history. If for no other reason than he's a billionaire and his ego is likely just as big as his bank account. lol

Belichick can F right off. If we really must get a new coach, I'm calling Mike Tomlin and asking how many zeroes he wants on his contract

Im fine with him too. It was foolish for him to hire Canada to run the offense but he's been solid otherwise.

I'm all for Vrabal or especially Harbaugh

IF Sirianni is fired, I wouldn't be angry with either of them being hired. I wouldn't be angry with anyone being hired, other than Chip Kelly... or maybe Rich Kotite.

I don't care for Harbaugh but to have the eagles play the niners with Harbough and win would be priceless!!

1. Harbaugh

2. Vrabel

3. Slowik

4. Johnson

5. Riley

Good with any of the 5 in that exact order.

If for no other reason why Sirianni needs to be fired!

Trust me you don't want anything to do with Slowik. He's barely a good OC and play calling has been suspect all season

Good to know!

The consensus here (I live in Nashville) is mixed.  Some just wanted him fired out of frustration and the need for change.  But a lot like him and think the GM is the problem, that Vrabel hasn't had much to work with.

He would have an excellent roster on offense in Philly, some pieces on defense and would need to convince Howie to have actual NFL quality players at LB and safety.

I'd accept Vrabel.

Hopefully he would say, before he got hired, "we are building the Defense up".

How in the F are they still employed?!

Lurie isnt gonna fire Siri on the same day that Kelce retires....

Good point.

Damn you kelce

The Eagles lost out on one of the main benefits of having an Offensive Coordinator / Guru type mind as the Head Coach because it turns out Sirianni is not that guy.  So now they are stuck with a Head Coach that doesn't offer innovative expertise on either offense or defense leading them to the place of massive impact of losing coordinators on both sides of the ball.

That is what happened this season.  I don't see how Lurie can let it continue because they will never get stability/continuity because they will lose coordinators that are good and start over each time.

The above is my main concern.  This season was almost unwatchable.  Really bad product.  No growth, no improvement, no evolution, no learning.  Literally the opposite of Sirianni's mantra of "get better every day".  I think that is why he lost portions of the team, because it now looks like lip service BS.

I'm still shocked that they started 10-1. A new DC, a new OC (both were not really experienced), they lost 5 Defensive starters, 2 Offensive starters, a much tougher schedule, thin at LB and Safety, so what should we have expected??

I didn't think they would implode like they did, but I didn't expect a SB appearance either. The NFL is too difficult.

I think what pisses me off the most is the embarrassing losses. Just gutless performances. Reminds me of the last few games when Chip was the HC. Professional NFL players just quitting.
