January 28, 20241 yr not a fan of this hire at all. would not be surprised if they g after barkley for RB now

January 28, 20241 yr Another guy younger than Sirianni? We'll see how that turns out but I'm not impressed, definitely thinking FO has some issues now.
January 28, 20241 yr I have to state at least this thing is mostly done prior to the season being over. That’s a plus for me, and they brought in coordinators that basically can operate regardless of Siri, and might not have ambitions to be a HC and could be here for a while…unless this completely blows upon the FOs face. I was concerned they would take forever to make these hires, but at least they didn’t this time. Ultimately I have a hard time viewing Sirianni having much power at all.

Prescott and Herbet were throwing a decent amount. Moore's offense also failed in the playoffs

He’s always going to have high turnovers until he has an OC who coaches him to take what the defense gives you. Prescott has been a bit of a turnover machine until this year and even then in crucial spots he turned it over.
January 28, 20241 yr So Kellen Moore and Vic Fangio. Hmmm. I see what they're going for - experienced coaches with a view whether they're right for us remains to be seen, but they've acted quickly and made some moves for decent coaches. The chargers had some bad luck with injuries last season and their fans think he was ok and reasonably creative. Hopefully he'll be ok - the cowboys had some decent rushing status when he was there so hopefully he'll use the run game more. Did he come up with this?

They had to get experienced guys who can just run their side of the ball and call their plays. I still question exactly what Sirianni will be doing but at least they have experienced coordinators.

What every head coach does that don't call their own plays. Over seeing the whole team, making in game decisions, culture of the locker room and helping out where needed. This isn't some big mystery
January 28, 20241 yr I really like both hires but Moore won’t be here long if the Eagles are successful next year. He’ll get a head coaching job, maybe in Dallas if they again have another quick exit in the playoffs.
January 28, 20241 yr Moore was in my top 2 so I'm happy with this hire....I'm good with Fangio but was leaning towards Frazier.
January 28, 20241 yr Ok with this, my top choice I don’t think will be available (Brady). But if for some strange reason the Bills don’t give him the job full-time, that’s the guy I’d really want. Back to Moore, his offences in Dallas have always produced so that’s a plus. But last year concerns me. Not just the injuries but even pre Herbert getting hurt, it didn’t feel like that offence was clicking, and seemed to have taken a step back. Then you also have that Dak’s best year was once he left.

A failed Cowboy OC. yippee He was forced out in a desperation move by McCarthy who still is not out of the woods because after next season, the Cowboys could simply not renew his contract and just let him go that way without actually firing him since his contract would be up. Moore then had to deal with a ton of injuries to the Chargers wide receivers which did not help him at all.

Moore lost Mike Williams, his #2 WR for much of the year due to injuries and also lost his #1 WR, Keenan Allen for a spell. Not many teams can overcome that.

There are plenty of HCs that don’t call plays on either side of the ball. It isn’t that hard to figure out.
