took a state job...hybrid, so i'm only in the office 2x per week. previously worked on the industry side & our location was heavily downsized last year so that's when i began my escape plan. the state job is great so far....fewer hours & a lot less stress. i'm not willing to f around on my commonwealth of pa laptop though....that's why i'm barely on here. i've always done 99% of my posting (and fantasy research) during work.

I think I have a clear 1 but then 2-4 are bit harder to judge.

I've had far less downtime as years have gone on and I made myself too damn important at work. I'm lucky if I check messages or notifications on my damn cell phone twice before lunch and twice again before the end of the work day. Managed to increase my value enough though that when I basically expressed that my presence back home with family is much more important than my being in MN (which I have honestly enjoyed the West-metro area where I've spent just shy of 5 years) -- it was almost an immediate "okay, we'll work to make that happen". We've been hybrid for over 40+ months now, with a soft push for 3-days in-person for a solid year and a half (that finally got enforced on our team the week returning from 4th of July). So my pull off a 0-days after I do my final in-person appearance tomorrow is happening as the company is trying to get more strict on bringing people back in.

If they haven’t made you CEO the owner of that company needs to be checked for mental health. You gotta be the most put together, Guy, I know.

If ever I decide I want the life of a Regional Sales Manager I might flirt with that "next step", but I don't need to be the biggest decision maker.
