no, they wouldn't, but even those two are better than the replacements.

the point being, any movie loosely based on the 87 foreskins can eat it.

how do we get X to embed? Ever since it switched from Twitter I have not been able to get it to work on here

Should I begin watching this show?  For some reason I tried when the first season came out, but I didn’t commit. I loved Game of Thrones. Someone sell me on it!!

Copy the address where it says "share".  Paste the link in the text box then change the "x.com" right after the https:// to "twitter.com".  Then put your cursor immediately after the end of the text and hit enter.  It should automatically embed after that.

You definitely should - it's good.  I don't know if it's peak GoT good, but it's still very very good.

It's typical GoT. Incest, nudity, ****, dragons and a lot of murder/politics.

I didn’t know details of the story, but I knew that midway through season 1 they were doing a 10 year time jump. And even in episodes 1-5 in before the "big” 10yr time jump, we probably still span at least a minimum of 3 years.. maybe close to 5. Then after the mid-season 10yr jump, the final 5 episodes probably span 5-7 years. I forget if I knew that within those halves of the season so much time would pass by, but I at least knew a lot of time would be covered.

Biggest complaint season 1 got was how much time jumped between episodes and that the 10yr caused some of the main cast to be (intentionally) recast with older actors. If you can allow that to not be an issue, I enjoyed the story, characters, and performances a lot. Now in season 2, 5ish episodes have gone by and it’s maybe be 2-4 weeks time at most. Season 1 almost acted like a prequel to the major story that is getting much more day-to-day in season 2.

I think the other seasons may well have season 1 time jumps in it due to the nature of the source material.  If the program is good, then those jumps aren't so grating as they may be with less quality programs.

Fire and Blood is many generations and House of the Dragon is only the 2nd half of the book

Good episode last night

Spoiler

Knew that Corlys' one **** son was gonna end up on Seasmoke - they smacked you in the face with that one earlier in the season.  I'm not a book reader, but from what I understand some of these secondary characters are "dragonseed" which is how they can ride.  Don't understand how Corlys' **** would be though - he's not Targaryen, he's Velaryon and they don't ride dragons.  Guessing that Hugh and the other dude with white hair from the slums are both gonna end up riding as well, and maybe Daemon's daughter that's at the Reach will end up on this dragon that killed all the sheep.  That swings things decidedly to the Blacks.

Do we know who Corlys had an affair with? Could be a Rivers/Snow type scenario, so creating dragon seed in weird ways but not realising it. Especially as Corlys travelled a lot and perhaps the men (the other had white hair stubble he was shaving off) could be older than his kids.

I did like the Viserys scenes.  Filling in some story and getting back an actor that Daemon has serious chemistry with.  Poor old Alicent is yesterdays news...

Yes - the Daemon stuff is finally getting to a point where he's getting somewhere.  My theory when Alys said "you will die here" was that the "old" Daemon would die and he would be reborn as not so selfish and focused on being King.  I think we may finally be getting to that point - just in time for Rhaenyra to start shacking up with Daemon's old mistress  Gonna be a wild last 2 episodes I'd say, and hopefully we won't have to wait 2 more years for season 3.

What some would call an "ego death" for Daemon.  Which should worry the whole of Westeros as he has kids with dragons, or they have access to them.

It's also worth pointing out the actor playing Sir Simon Strong is a doing a really good job.  A very subtle performance but saying a a lot with the lines he has.  The note of Alys Rivers was interesting treating Grover Tully and he dies shortly after.

In terms of timing, we have 2 more season left and the timeline chat for the series are:

  • HOTD season 3 is 18 months away at least
  • The Dunk and Egg series will come in the intervening period to maintain momentum in the franchise and provide some colour after the end of the season, even though it's from a different time period

After that episode, for those wondering about the Dragons

Spoiler

and their riders on Team Black, this is useful.

Spoiler

And the Greens have Aemond/Vhagar, Helaena/Dreamfyre, and they just mentioned Daeron/Tessarion as well, but he would just be small and insignificant I would think.  Plus I think they're setting up Rhaena to claim Sheepstealer it appears (which I know differs from the book - I haven't read it but I have a cousin who has and she fills me in things that aren't too spoilerish)

So yeah the Blacks have a huge advantage right now regarding dragons.
