July 29, 20241 yr Also - they have absolutely wasted Matt Smith this season with this 6 episode nonsense at Harrenhaal.

Plus I think they're setting up Rhaena to claim Sheepstealer it appears (which I know differs from the book - I haven't read it but I have a cousin who has and she fills me in things that aren't too spoilerish) So yeah the Blacks have a huge advantage right now regarding dragons. Spoiler There is another dragon out there from the books that hasn't been mentioned called Spoiler Nettles, who Rhaena had in the books, I think. As for the episode. Oscar Tully is a great manipulator for someone so young. That part went a bit long, but the pay off was worth it. The rest of the episode was good enough; things are bubbling up for the season finale. Wonder who will die?

I think Nettles is the PERSON who claims Sheepstealer in the books. It appears that they are going a different direction and just having Rhaena claim Sheepstealer instead.

Which was why I posted the image to try and keep up 🤣

July 30, 20241 yr The whole Vermithor thing was an absolutely cruel way to do it by Rheanera, but it was epic watching. Dragons go nom. Will the White bears finally make it south for whatever is to come, or will it be next season that they arrive?
August 5, 20241 yr Spoiler I'm looking to the finale next week, that was a good setup episode Looks at PVR to check the recording is setup That was the season finale? WTAF. Damn
August 5, 20241 yr Author If they didn't cut down to 8 episodes they could have shown some of what's about to happen next. There's a lot of chaos coming Spoiler I liked the vision he had of Daenerys and her dragons. Glad he didn't see the abomination of the last 2 seasons of GoT though

Whether they did the last 2 eps to move budget to next year or whatever, but it was a bit lacking when other stuff is about to go down later. Give us a little more story meat to chew on

They expedited this season because of interest in the show but it was planned to be a 2 year gap - supposedly, it has a 18 month turnaround time now.
August 11, 20241 yr Getting started on this saw first couple, It's solid enough fantasy to watch but still has all the problems of season 1, too many boring, dreary council scenes, nobody to actually root for, not seeing enough of Westeros, the roles of anybody commoner are all 1 dimensional, not enough boobies and where the f'ing F are the dragon jousts we were promised? 10+ hours man, lets go already!

What can be fairly said on the dragon jousting is tune in next season to find out more! But with all the foreshadowing, we should get some fun there.
August 16, 20241 yr man, I really thought this would start cooking in season 2, nope! I counted FIVE small council scenes in one episode. FIVE dreary arse nothing happens, bishing about blockades and ppl we don't know scenes. There are at least 3 of them per episode and when they alternate with whatever the F is going on with daemon in harrenhall good grief its a drag. i also saw an episode aptly called "smallfolk" where everything wrong with the ay this show treats the commoners was on full display. They are just unwashed masses who despite the complete disconnect from the rulers are only there to be manipulated easily and en masse by said disconnected rulers. We finally got a real dragon battle and holy hells it delivered but the amount of filler here is ludicrous. The only character i'm rooting for at this point is Aemond.
August 17, 20241 yr I dunno, I mostly enjoyed this season. I get people feeling like the end was rushed, there were other storylines that I think they could have developed further, like the brothers turning on each other. Trying to figure out where everyone’s loyalties lie there could have added some great tension. With Aegon dragonless, Aemond is definitely more useful to them now though.
August 18, 20241 yr Honest trailers had a line that said "the Greens stand accused to taking Black jobs”

I can't recall the book, but I listened to a non-spoiler podcast review and they suggested 💩will get real, whatever that means. So while the season got repetitive by the end, it was delaying somethings else that will happen. We saw the Greybeards on the move, and they made sure to subtly keep pointing that out over the seres. No spoiler from me there about how that ends up
August 19, 20241 yr Author Careful with rewatches of Game of Thrones. If you haven't read the Fire and Blood book then you can also get spoiled be some scenes that mention what happens to some characters in this show

I mean I think we all know that it doesn't really end up great for ANY Targaryen's eventually, but as far as the events of this actual war I'm pretty much in the dark.
