That's insane

Way better than Henry

So in a matter of 12-13 months, the Eagles let former Penn St. RB Miles Sanders walk, and pick up his star teammate, no. 2 overall pick, Saquon Barkley.  I know a few Giant fans who are ready to puke with that one.

Very surprised we'd put that kinda cash into RB, but at least it fills a huge need. Hope he can stay healthy.

When healthy, he is as dynamic as McCaffrey.  Here’s to hoping Mr. Glass becomes Mr. Tempered Glass with the Birds!

I have always loved Saquon ... been following him since his HS days since he is local to me (and then as a Penn State fan I was thrilled when he signed).  BUT ... I just don't think this is a wise investment.  I would have sooner drafted someone like Corum and used the cap $ elsewhere (DE ... done, LB, S).

Maybe, just maybe, running behind a good OL will make all the difference for him.  Wouldn't surprise me if Stout was pushing for this.

There are very few RBs in the league who can takeover a game. He is one of them.

Wow. That is surprising

I'm actually kind of shocked. I don't remember the Eagles ever going out and nabbing a running back this early, especially before free agency starts.

Hate to be negative here but a $47 million dollar deal, $26 million fully guaranteed, doesn't jibe with the Eagle's philosophy around running backs. He's a high mileage 27.

This feels desperate. It just does.

Great RB. But I'm against spending big on RBs.

With that said. Eagles still need  O-line, Slot WR,  A bunch of linebackers,  and secondary.

Yeah it feels like we’ve overpaid tbh. Could have had Henry cheaper probably. On his day Barkley is a game changer though

I agree, I wasn't impressed with Barkley at Penn State, he was shutdown in every big game they played.

Amazing. I really love it. We haven't had a true star RB and were fine with that because every RB looked good behind our OL.

You guys will stop complaining if you see him in our offense for sure.

The Giants had nothing. No QB, no OL, no WRs.. the other teams just wanted to stop Barkley, and if they did it was game over. Yet he still had some success even with everything focused on just him.

This sounds to me like we are going all in on winning a SB. About time. Woohhooo!! GO BIRDS!!!

Yeah this one is surprising...even with all the "smoke" about it we've been seeing.  I just didn't think it would happen based on Howie's philosophy and track record.

Howie must have a different motivation this year...perhaps overcorrecting all the stink from the end of last year...including the coaching staff changes.

If anything the smoke made me believe it ain't real. Not usually how we work.

We want to win a SB, and Kellen must have said we will need a RB to do it. He's right btw.

Barkley will do great things behind the Eagles oline

You can say that about every Penn state player these days

Wow :o I didn't see this one happening... Even though RB is a need.

Demarco Murray

Frank Gore lol

Love the signing but hopefully the offense gets more innovative. The Giants did a very good job at lining him up in different positions to get him into open space. He lines up at WR quite a bit. Would love to see us do something similar.

Not a fan of paying RBs, but considering it’s Saquan, I don’t hate it either.
