In time, it came to symbolize the chaotic nature of the presidency and the early Covid fight. Surely you have a video clip of him saying that somewhere. Anywhere

It's clear there's a grudge between Behrends and Walz. Is Behrends politically motivated? Most likely. Is Walz? Obviously as he left the military to pursue a career in politics. Is the dude that made this video politically motivated? Pretty "clearly." He admits it at the end. But he never admits to knowing or crossing paths with either Walz or Behrends personally.

It's more of a joke, but like many things that get debunked, people like to pretend it really happened. Just asking ...
August 8, 20241 yr I understand how some of the soldiers who served under CSM Walz felt betrayed when he decided to cash in his 24 years of service and retire prior to deploying to Iraq in 05. But I also understand why, when given a choice, Walz chose his health and his family and decided to retire before his deployment. Raise your hands if you ever had to tell your wife and kids you were leaving them for 12-16 months, after a lifetime of telling them, you had to leave them for a few months. More Missed birthdays, baseball games, holidays, etc. Walz also worked in field artillery for two decades and suffered hearing loss and tinnitus in both ears. He was able to continue serving as long as he did because surgery was able to resolve some of his hearing loss. I’ll give Vance a little bit of a pass because he served, but if I was a POG like him, and I actually am, I wouldn’t go around disparaging someone else’s service the way he is. I won’t hold it against him because he only spent 6 months in Iraq, on a a base that was basically a "green zone.”

It’s a fact that he served six months in Iraq. It’s a common deployment length for the Marines. The Army does 12 month deployments. Many NG soldiers did 18 months deployments away from home. it’s also a fact that Al Asad was relatively skate duty for a combat zone. Especially for a war correspondent for an air wing. I'm not going to pretend that the life of a commo sergeant stationed between Ramadi and Falluja was a lot worse. But it was nearly twice as long, and we couldn’t leave our AO without being in full battle rattle, let alone go outside the wire on a tour bus.

He left the Guard in May, which likely means he put in his paperwork in February. His unit received its deployment orders in July, after he left. So once again MAGA morons are foiled by calendars.
August 8, 20241 yr Minnesota’s Take Pride Act, which was signed into law by Governor Tim Walz in May of 2023, included a section that redefined the term "sexual orientation” to include pedophiles in the state’s Human Rights Act.

August 8, 20241 yr He deployed in Europe (Italy specifically) in August 2003 when his unit was ordered to provide logistical support for efforts in Afghanistan. A theater is any area involved in war operations. Europe was a staging area for supplies in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the military was operating there as part of those efforts. He specifically stated there he was in the European theater. He never claimed he himself was ordered to a war zone. He specifically stated in the interview above that he served in Europe, and that his former unit is "now" deployed to Iraq, which makes it clear he's not claiming he's with a unit in Afghanistan or Iraq. He served time abroad and when asked as a 40-year-old family man. Add this to Vikas' statement above that shows Walz retired well ahead of his unit receiving orders to Iraq, and MAGAts attacking a Democrat with a military career come up grasping at straws once again. Not that it will stop them from peddling falsehoods. It's all they got.
