Massive win for Farage. You must be very proud to watch him take out a trashcan.

For him yes, he got his moment and the Bin man got his. And everyone went home for tea and medals, happy the farce got them what they wanted.

Farage ain't my guy tho

Who is your guy?

Not sure there's anything funnier than this toothless reetard trying to talk shìt about our food when his cuisine is literally a punchline for people all across the globe.

Your county washes your chickens in chlorine before selling them in supermarkets. You (and Australia) inject hormones into cows to supersize them. You wash eggs before they go to the supermarkets. You have cheese that won't melt. You have ice cream that won't melt.

You are all so very sensitive over food, but let's be real, Your food is unhealthy slop designed to be commercially viable for as long as possible. I will happily be lectured by the French or Italians about food. The Septics? Jog on son

At this moment, its Rupert Lowe and Restore. The guy has his faults, but he's not just a regurgitation of the same old tired post WW2 liberal policies that this country has suffered from. He has shifted the Overton window over here in ways Farage can only dream of.

The Torygaph have been doing some wild hits job on him and his party - says a lot about how the Establishment are threatened by a true outsider. Will it work? Not the foggiest

Ok, got it. Restore seems to be a more aggressive version of Reform. Is that how you look at it?

Hey remember that time England hosted a major sporting event and social media was littered with countless posts and videos of fans raving about English food? Yea me neither.

England has generally better Indian food than we do. That's about it though. Otherwise outside the major cities the average food is trash.

And yeah processed food is crap but 1) there's plenty of that in Europe as well and 2) like 50% of this giant country is farmland. We don't have to import most of our product and meat. Which makes a huge difference.*

The best way to describe Restore in this present political environment is they are a traditional right wing party that doesn't necessarily have the liberal leanings that the Tories or Reform. Both of those parties are considered "right wing" within our current lexicon but are in reality a centre right party that left unchecked, will steadily tack left to chase voters. Hence why the Tories went full on Net Zero, Boriswave, etc when in Govt.

Restore are being called "Extreme Right" because they are such a stark change from the current crop of parties - deporting immigrants, etc has been a topic largely verboten in our politics. The best way to think of them is a modern version of the Thatcher Conservative party - low tax, small Govt, low regulation, low immigration, less benefits etc. When our current environment is high tax, high immigration, high govt spending, very much a shock to the system.

I'm under no illusions that our food has some slop, but it's nowhere near as bad as some people presume. You can thank Michel Roux and Raymond Blanc for the work they started in the 1980s. Even the most rural small town has a multitude of different types of restaurants. For example, we don't need to say our beef is pasture fed because its just normal over here.

In funnier news, this happened in a Cricket game yesterday. Many men laughed

It balances this

Eveb other immigrants are WTF

Why are we importing so many of these people when they have to be told how to behave?

I think Europeans eat less processed food though. <pass the Doritos>

It took our government 50 years to get the upper hand on big tobacco. So while I agree with your take on American processed foods, only the unhealthiest stuff has a chance of getting banned. Also conservatives are still torn up about Michelle Obama trying to make school lunches healthy.

Ok, so not populist but rather a true deeply conservative party, correct?

Yes but that has been changing over time.

Well, it was a well deserved reputation back in the day but I agree it has been improving over the years and has gotten a LOT better.

Oh yeah, the Indian is awesome at least in the cities. There are a few other things as well like the Middle Eastern and North African food which can be really good in England as well (there is shite as well of course).

At its core, yes. But its seen as populist and civnat because of how different the political (and media) environment is now vs then. Its interesting seeing how different people almost lost or disillusioned politically have coalesced under a banner - John Cleese is an absolute stan for Restore, but there are others like Sargon of Akkad (worth watching his Daily YT Channel if interested) that are advocates. I don't see them winning massively, but seeing the ongoing chaos in Reform...

The Govt don't be naughty pamphlet is being memed to hell out there

But as always, reality shows its head - this clip sums up the sheer despair some of us feel.

The phrase of "why" is never far from many of our lips

We had the same with Jamie Oliver's campaign to ban Turkey Twizzlers and parents pushing fast food through the school fencing. While he's a genuinely annoying bellend, the level of animus towards him still is kind of funny.

That said, some schools have gone a bit silly - kids can't have a jam sandwich for lunch, etc

Here we go again. The cover up job on Henry Nowak's murder gets worse and worse.

The poor lad in death, was treated in an appalling way. After his murder, the Police then searched his phone to find a hint of racism and then did their best to hide the motive to try and make him seem to be the aggressor. Disgusting

As for Ian, I don't endorse the war in an way, and think the current PMs hands off but not obstructing is the right approach. That said, a reminder of what they are still doing now . As usual, there was an attempted cover up

Not a smoker, but 10 quid on Marlboro lights? He must have found the special Ciggies from the local corner shop to get them at that price! LOL

Our new energy cap was announced - going up 4% with a 9% projected rise in January. The new total will be £1,723 / $2,200 and the Govt are moving money around to try and mitigate it. But again, Net Zero is rearing its ugly head from a cost and capacity perspective.

This is an example of how it all breaks down - note the orange blob

Average-without-numbers-Pie-Chart.png

Oh yeah, its looking likely that our Commies, after saying the 2024 tax rises were a one off, then they did it again last year, looks to be doing it again this year. Why? Running out of other people's money again - tax receipts last month were £1.6bm lower than expected and we keep borrowing money at eye watering rates. Their sums continue to not add up and they keep giving away free stuff,

Don't vote in the far left if you want economic prosperity. Europe is living proof of stifling regulation, high low quality immigration and high tax - they suck

One of the lines says something about "smoking bud with the boys”.
