Feels like a really good signing that. It may amount to nothing but he’s clearly a very talented player so there’s logic.

Been primarily a STer - has only 10 snaps on defense in 3 years with the Vikings (compared to 134 on STs).  Was cut following the 2024 training camp and ended up on Buffalo's practice squad).

Bigger news is that Lewis Cine is a former member of the great Georgia Bulldog defense - so he'll be reunited with his mates in Philly

Had a devastating injury as a rookie.

This is a very-Howie move. End of the season ... adding a former 1st round pick so we can get a long look at him in the next offseason. This move costs us a roster spot for now, but that's all. It's really not all that different from the chance we took signing Becton as a FA before the season. Getting him now should give him an extra chance to stick when we reveal our final 53 before next season. Obviously he played with all our Bulldogs and this opportunity should be special for him.

Oh I know bud I’m just saying like there’s a talented player there that hasn’t worked out so far… He may not stay here long but I like the upside of the move.

The Eagles are still playing in the 2024 postseason, but they are keeping an eye on the future as well.

Philadelphia signed tight end Cameron Latu to a Reserve/Future contract on Tuesday. The team also released wide receiver Elijah Cooks from the practice squad.

Latu was a third-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers in 2023 out of Alabama. The 24-year-old Latu is 6-5, 244 pounds. He spent most of the 2024 season on the Browns' practice squad.

At Alabama, he started out as an outside linebacker before being moved to the offensive side of the ball. In 2021, he scored eight receiving touchdowns to set a new school record for most in a season at that position.

Cooks was signed to the practice squad last Tuesday. The 26-year-old Cooks (6-4, 215 pounds) was a second-year receiver out of San Jose State. He originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent signing of the Jaguars following the 2023 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Cooks saw action in nine games and recorded three receptions for 38 yards. He appeared in two games for Jacksonville this season.

A 2022 All-Mountain West First-Team selection, Cooks recorded a career-high in both touchdowns (10) and receiving yards (1,076) in 12 games. He started his college career at Nevada.

Danny Gray has been getting a lot of praise by the Defense for his work on the scout team. He's hard to cover. If his hands were better, he'd probably be playing.

Very crazy to think that more then likely the raiders drafted the wrong Byron Young in the third round  the other Young went 7 spots later and has been very good for the rams through 2 years.

I seriously doubt there was a mix-up because of the name. But that doesn't mean they didn't draft the wrong one. The raiders have been awful at drafting. 2024 might have been their best draft in years.

Videos I saw online said the other one was rated as a third rounder but this one wasn’t rated till much later in the draft who knows if it’s actually true I didn’t check up on the information

They were both looked at as third rounders. It was common knowledge at the time that there were two similarly rated players with the same name. The idea that a team mistakenly picked the wrong one — meaning they meant to pick the other one — is ludicrous.

One went to Tennessee and one went to Alabama. One was a DE/edge and one was a DT. The school and projected position are things teams fill out on the draft card. They don't just go by names. It wasn't a case of mistaken identity, it was just one of many bad picks by a terrible team with terrible scouts.
