Renaming the Washington Football Club

But their headquarters are in Ashburn. But I know that Landover is close to D.C., I grew up within a 10 minute walk from Landover... well, maybe 20 minute walk, my elementary school is close enough to FedEx Field that if you were standing in the playground on gameday, you could most likely listen to the stadium play by play lol.

Well if you want to talk headquarters, that's a whole different, yet utterly unimportant, list.  Why would anyone care where the team's offices are located?  

Where is the team on gameday should really be the only thing that matters.

What they should have done was to patent some Plan B alternatives long ago.

This was inevitable.  I always suspected this would be the key obstacle for his (also inevitable) return to DC.  DC would give him a sweet deal for the use of RFK, and he would agree to change the name.

Red Wolves is such a lame name.  It's like all the RedHawks names that all popped up in the 1990s.  I still like the idea of keeping the Native American theme and using Washington Potomacs, which already had the blessing by the Potomac tribe to use their name and continue using the Indian head logo.  Outside that, just drop the "red" theme and find something appropriate for the region.

In light of all the "offended" people in today's society....and we already have teams the Chiefs, Blackhawks and Braves, the foreskins should go with the Redtails.

But it'll probably be considered racist because it was an identifier to a black squadron.

Despite their heroic service and record, I'm sure the negative connotation will be focused on instead.

Had to check this, but right you are.  Actually a little over 2 miles as the crow flies.

It takes over an hour to drive there from the FT practice facilities in Ashburn.  And that number is without traffic!

@McNabbIsDone I hear you, but this is change culture that we're talking about here.  Lots of 'football team' fans completely agree and think Snyder has absolutely no spine.  They might have to give away tickets to the 'football team' soon.
