June 14, 20214 yr And its delicious. Drinking neat at that proof and its very smooth and tasty. Rival to WFE

June 17, 20214 yr Cracked a bottle of makers cask strength tonight. Wanted to compare it to the makers wood finishing bottle I bought a couple months ago. It's crazy how much more mellow the wood finishing series is, even though it's only .5% ABV less than cask strength

June 20, 20214 yr Shops out here did dome big fathers day raffles but i didn't partake. Only a few on my hit list left like elmer t lee and stagg jr dude sold me a weller FP last week that was supposed to be in that raffle
June 23, 20214 yr I was picking up a case of wine today, and this "baby" caught my eye for $27.99. First-time buyer, so I feel like my collection just got a lot more legitimate.
June 23, 20214 yr Very good stuff. I bought a case of 12 recently… Also Smooth Ambler single barrel rye can rival WFE rye
June 27, 20214 yr Drowning my MIL stress in old forester rye for 28 bucks at 100 proof it aint bad. At least it keeps me from choking people
June 30, 20214 yr Total Wine out here dropped a 4R store pick yesterday and buttwipes were buying cases to flip em. I hate bottle flippers

How much did they have that they were letting people buy whole cases? They should have a limit to discourage people from doing that.
July 1, 20214 yr Yeah one bottle limits are typical. No idea why they didn’t restrict it. I just want one to drink…
July 2, 20214 yr Goes for 250 on the secondary. In a word? Overrated… at that proof a 45 dollar bottle of wild turkey rare breed has better flavor

Pretty sure I mentioned it a few times in here before.
July 7, 20214 yr ECBP B521 is solid. Not sure why its getting slammed in reviews for low proof when its over 59% found a bottle of Legent to try

Not sure why its getting slammed in reviews for low proof when its over 59% found a bottle of Legent to try Probably just because it's the 2nd lowest (or lowest, though IIRC it's the 2nd lowest) proof they've ever done and some people are stuck on high proof Whiskies only. Higher the better so if it's not up to their desired standard then they already have their mind made up before trying it that they don't like it much.
July 7, 20214 yr The Legent is pretty good for 42. Clearly has scotch elements from the Sherry casks. Thankfully the wine casks are muted and subtle
July 10, 20214 yr Cracked the Sazerac for a night cap. I love the smoke on the nose enveloping the rye spice. Definitely some citrus in there, too. Very smooth on the palate, and a bit sweet and weighty toward the middle, but the proof really catches up on the finish with a nice, lingering burn. Love it. Can't believe it's so cheap. I'd like to make a proper cocktail with this, but appears you need Absinthe to do it right? Damn. PA will not be kind to this endeavor.
