Just got in a single 6pk case of Dogfish Let's Get Lost American Single Malt Whiskey.  It's only available in DE, MD, VA, NJ, and for some reason WA.  So 4 Mid-Atlantic states and 1 Pacific Northwest State.  I know my distributor, which covers all 7 South Jersey counties, only got 30cs of it as my rep was only allocated 7cs.  Retailing for $65/bottle.  It's 102 proof and aged 3 years in charred oak barrels.

More interested in smoke wagon stuff

Found out today that the same distro that has Smoke Wagon also has Garrison Brothers.  We'll be getting a case of their Texas Straight Small Batch on Tuesday and probably also their Single Barrel Sampler, which I'm guessing is the distro's own selection unique to them.

From the Garrison Brothers site on the Single Barrel:

In 2013, the Texas Legislature passed a law permitting Texas distilleries to begin selling their products to guests visiting the distillery property. Victory never tasted so sweet. To celebrate, Garrison Brothers introduced their now-iconic Single Barrel Bourbon. Visitors can buy a bottle of the Single Barrel that they bottle themselves at the Distillery. They can also select their own barrel, bottle the barrel with friends and family, and purchase the bottles and empty barrel at their liquor store of choice. Bottles include custom labels with details about the barrel and whom it was selected for. The response has been overwhelming.

Sounds like heaven hill is ending the larceny barrel pick program

Friday night, it’s a two pour night. Warmed up the pallet with a Woodford Double Oaked store pick and followed up with a Makers 46 Cask Strength. The Makers got even better at about the halfway point of the bottle when it had been open for a while. It was a little too woodsy at first.

Knob creek 12 is way better than their 9yo. Still some kick but much less harsh

I have a store pick Knob 120 that’s 9yrs and it’s too hot for me. Over the last couple months I’ve tried to pour it a couple times and didn’t finish it. It’s mostly full and just sitting in the back of the liquor cabinet.

Meanwhile I am sipping some OGD114, another Beam product that’s delicious and doesn’t seem nearly as hot.

Yeah the knob 120 has to be made into a manhattan in my experience

That's one of my favorite eyes aged in my favorite type of scotch

Hopefully its good i feel like double rye has declined in quality since they started mixing in their own distillate.

I saw a few around me the other day. Was short on money when I saw it though. Might go back this week and hope it's still there.
