You have the michters rye? It's one of my favorites

That's what I was trying to dial in on earlier. I think I found the right one, I missed it earlier. I think I just posted the wrong image, actually. Is this it?

Im on old Fashioned number three ok? Suck it

Michters is a pretty decent daily driver. Easy to find and usually under $50.

But, I think I just found my new one. Little bit pricey at about $100, but man do I love this stuff. They have a buy limit at the county store so I’ve been stopping in every few days to pick up an extra bottle. Highly recommend.

Yup.

I haven’t had any of the other bottles they’ve produced, but the high rye bourbon is an instant favorite of mine.

One of our NJ distributors lists it, but currently not available.  They have the High Rye and a Golden Rye.  Must be a limited/allocated item because when I do a search to see what it's retailing for I found 2 stores in CNJ that are selling it for nearly 3X the cost.

Another distributor has Castle & Key Restoration Rye.  They also have a Vodka and 2 Gins.  Bottle cost is half what Blue Run is and it's available.

Yeah, definitely limited/allocated. I have a few bottles in storage, one shown here that’s open is fall batch bottle 0169. Also have bottle 1077 for when I finish it.

Makers 46 any good?

Makers 46 any good?

ya know, years ago when it first came out and i was somewhat new to whiskey, i had it on the rocks at a bar and didnt like it. i told my buddy it tasted like "diet whiskey". but i really want to go back and try it again.

Its a decent wheater for those newer to bourbon. Lacks depth but perfectly fine for the cost. I wanted to try it since it serves as the base for the makers store picks. Not sure i see what the hype is for those…

scored another baby saz today but just missed out on an EHT

so, my wife told me she'd buy me a bottle of whiskey tonight since i paid the car insurance this month (not gunna argue with that  ) we're heading to one of the bigger FWGS stores around that usually has a decent selection. throw me some suggestions to look for. i know they should still have heavens door double barrel there. i was eyeing it up last time we were in. what do you guys like in that price range? i have half a mind to buy something i already have had and like, like rare breed or four roses single barrel, but i like trying new stuff too

Something is up with rare breed. On sale for 34 out here right now

i would love to actually start buying more different scotches, but the mark up for decent juice here is just disheartening. used to be i could wait and find laphroiag or ardbeg 10 for just under $50, now theyre both in the 60s. anything the least bit exotic is close to or over 100. there are a lot of bourbons i would love to buy in that 60-100 dollar range that seem more special than a companys basic scotch offering.

I’m an alcoholic that loves Kentucky bourbon. Any welcomed suggestions to try?

Update i scored a castle & key batch 1 this week

Had an old lady at the grocery store ask me what bourbon she should buy thats cheap

i pointed a few but then she took a handle of Old Crow because she liked the name…

Old Overholt 11-yr. sitting on the shelf at this bar. Wondering about ordering it.

Update: F**** it. Can't find it anywhere. Bartender was a doll and made the 2-oz. pour a 3-ouncer.

I was hoping for a little more character. Nice oak and spice, but not much otherwise. Kinda smokey. Reviews mentioned sweetness, but I'm not getting it.

Frey Ranch is pretty darn good for being young. Their stuff should be excellent as it ages a bit more
