$94 for Eagle Rare?

Yea. I've found it anywhere from 80 to 90 bucks

Wow. That's a lot for eagle rare. I'm not a big fan of it for $35. However, eh Taylor is my BT weakness. Had a bottle a couple years ago at $35, but would easily pay more for it. That's one of my absolute favorites.

Speaking of, picked up a bottle of makers 46 today. Had it 10 or so years ago and described it as diet makers mark. Now, I had it with ice and I was just starting to drink non jack Daniels whiskey, so who knows how my palate was then. Figured I'd try it again. It's really thin. Not much finish at all. It's good up front, vanilla and wood, a little cherry, but just disappears after that. Very easy to drink at 94 proof. I hope it opens up a bit after sitting a little though.

It's one of my favorites. Makers 46 is very solid. My go to lately has been Woodford double oaked and Jefferson Ocean blend

Woah that's way overpriced.  It's like $35-38 here, but true to it's name it's also been rare to find lately.

Both of those are great.  I actually don't like the regular Jefferson's but the Ocean aged at sea I like.  First had it with a whiskey flight tasting at a bar and liked it, got a bottle at Christmas.  You can never go wrong with Woodford all their stuff is solid, and goes well in an Old Fashioned or other cocktails.

Well you are in Kentucky lol. I usually find it in Tennessee for 42 bucks

Agreed. They have one I have yet to try. It's called Jefferson's Reserve Very Old Burboun. I've read good things about it

I'm in TN, and a lot of times the prices in KY are higher, taking advantage of tourists.

Over double retail

Tried a parkers heritage 11yr last night. Splurged for a pour bc i never tried it

Was terrific

Had a dram of Glenrothe's 1992, Second Edition the other night at this awesome lounge/speakeasy in Studio City, CA called The Rendition Room. This scotch was re- released at 22 years, and it definitely showed. Raisiny nose and really soft on the palate with light tannin and subdued peat. Kinda sweet, a little spicy, and showing the bourbon-barrel ageing.  Nutty with a caramel and honeyed character, along some ashiness/smoke on the finish, which lingers for days. Just sublime.

The place was awesome. Quintessential lounge/speakeasy vibes. The house old fashioned with black walnut bitters was also a real treat

Anyone ever try this?  I just picked some up and the store owner highly recommended it.  It was only $45, and he mentioned that there were hints of caramel flavor in it.  I'm excited.  I may just pour it all over my face at about 3:30 pm.
