Definitely not an every day thing though. I have a bottle of Remy Reserve Cellar Selection No 28 that is exquisite for under $200.
February 10, 20232 yr Picked up Penelope Rose cask finish. It’s a seasonal bottle so if it interests anyone, grab it while you can. Overall I’ve been underwhelmed by Penelope, but am excited to try this. Something different…
February 11, 20232 yr Wine finishes just dont do anything for me though cava de oro tequila is wine finished and its great
February 12, 20232 yr Perks of having a brother in law work for a distillery. Half price bottles! This one is really good too. Their normal rye is solid and this just turns the flavor of it up

March 1, 20232 yr I'm going to be moving to Tennessee in September and try my hand at making whiskey. I'm going to call it "Rebel Revenge" and make a killing from the Southern white trash population.

April 5, 20232 yr Some bottles I tried recently: Doc Swinson’s Tawny Cask — best I’ve had from them, and I really like the L’Esprit. Bardstown Fusion series Bourbon — solid but not worth the ~$70. Copper and Cask county pick — mediocre impulse purchase. Penelope Rose Cask Finish — liked it a lot. Best from Penelope that I’ve had by far. Get it next year when it comes out. Nashville Barrel Company Prestige Rye — very good. Hughes Belle of Bedford Toasted Rye — disappointing compared to their Dusty Pickle which is just a beauty… if you ever find it secondary market just give them your money.
