You had many Irish Whiskeys?  I had Bushmills when I was in Dublin, of course Jameson and I've had Teeling.  My liquor store has one called "Writer's Tears."

Not at all man.  I'm literally going off the list you sent me awhile back.  I'm gonna go through them 1 by 1.  I really liked Bushmill's.  My wife clearly did too.

I'm a bourbon nut, but recently I have wanted to branch out a little bit.  I've tried Scotch.  I just don't have the taste for it yet.  I really like all of Bushmills, Jameson, and Teeling. Bushmills is probably my favorite of the 3.  However, I've only had Jameson warm and in shot form.

I hear ya.  I've had so much bourbon and tried to branch out as well.  More regular whiskey, gin and moonshine.

Holy sheet.  Am I looking at the correct price for this bottle?   Does a hot chick pop out of the red sack and give free blowies?

BTW......don't spill any!

The good news is if you're living in Tennessee and I'm in NC..........we have access to plenty of folks that make the best stuff  😂

I've seen people on bourbon social media groups looking for hard to find items and I'm like, they're everywhere here. Spoiled.

Lol!  There are liquor stores that take advantage of its rarity and will charge in excess of $1k.  My old man paid msrp:  $200.

Oh nice!  I googled it and must have looked up the wrong one.  I was seeing it in excess of $2500 per bottle.

They go for 2k on secondary market

yea the 12 year that i got in the FWGS lottery this year goes for 800+ on the secondary market. 20 year goes for ridiculous money on the secondary

and yes thats a subtle flex

I stumbled across a 12yr years ago in michigan. Paid 80 for it

we drank it partying in vegas for the wsop main event

Got an Elijah Craig barrel proof tonight batch B520 i think

I keep wanting to buy that bottle, but not buying it for some reason. How is it?

We got a handful of limited/rare Bourbons in today like Elmer T. Lee, Blanton's Gold Reserve, Weller's and 2-3 others I can't recall off the top of my head.  I didn't see them come in as I was busy with a large beer delivery and by the time I was finished most of what we got in had gone to our other store because they like to get all the glory.  I think this bottle of Stagg was all we were left with.  At slightly over 130 proof it's a strong one.  This one needs some time to mellow a bit.  The owner at my store decided to crack one open and we got to try it.  Nice flavour and a bit on the rich and slightly chewy side and feels fine on the palate, but leaves a vapor trail going all the way down.

And as per some of the above posts regarding the pricing of the Pappy Whiskies, yes, they are marked up way high retail for what they cost wholesale.  I know the owner at our 'big' store looks to find what the cheapest online price is and that's what he prices his at because that's what the market demands.  And people pay it.

Didnt open it yet. Maybe tonight

I think I'm gonna go with some Old Forester tonight.  Haven't tried yet.

Took a sip. Very tasty and drinkable neat even at 122 proof

Getting into an unopened Jefferson’s Ocean VSB tonight.  I’ve had two bottles with two very different flavors.  One was fantastic, the other could have easily passed for bottom shelf.  I am hopeful this one is at least as good as the first bottle.

It's ok not great but really good for the price. The 1920 prohibition is their best.

Their regular I'll get a big 1.75ml jug for $38. 😁

just grabbed a 1L bottle of Early Times bottled-in-bond for 30$

Anyone ever try WhistlePig?  It's always advertised in the front of our liquor store.

I find it pretty tasty. A tad hot when neat. Nose is kinda faint but long spicy finish

Well distinctly different than the previous two.  This one is so good I am tempted to reseal it and bring it out on special occasions.  I can’t distinguish it from the 20 year pappy family reserve.  It’s uncanny how similar it is.  This was a steal considering I think I paid 80 bucks for it.
