i have owned five fords and one mercury in my lifetime and had nothing but issues, so i finally quit.

now i'm like a former cigarette smoker when it comes to them.

Well your ram broke too so maybe it’s just you’re a sheety driver who doesn’t know how to take care of of a car.

I have a 2016 Chevy Silverado that has started randomly losing power when turning at low speed like pulling into a parking spot or driveway. Google webs says it is the steering position sensor on the steering wheel. My mechanic thinks it is the body control module which has to be replaced by a dealer because it needs to be programmed for the vehicle’s VIN.

My wife’s Odyssey has a slow intermittent transmission fluid leak and while driving through the mountains on our way to Pittsburgh the trans fluid overheated so I think there might be something else going on with it too. Fun times…

Imp, it might be time for a new vehicle, or two. Ya need reliable cars, IMO.

I know there's a car payment that comes with it, but, for the sake of reliability and how much you/your wife drive, that payment is worth it.

Before getting my 2020 Chevy Trax, I had a Pontiac G5. Great car. Lasted 11 years. But, then things started to 'go'. AC would work every now and then, same for for the Heat. Power windows would work every now and then, etc...I just got to the point where I was like 'I need a new, reliable car'.

SIL and my one employee both had full engine replacements on those POS. Employee and his wife both had them and had replacements.  Oil leaking into engine problems.  Known issue.  Fight Hyundai to death on a replacement. There's years that are complete crap.  SIL had engine replacement and multiple problems since.  She's going lemon law on their ass.  Fight the good fight my dude.

They ended up covering everything, including the deductible and 3 weeks of rental cars.  So my extended warranty investment paid off, and I'll sell it some time this year while it's running.

I'll switch to another brand this time around.  Toyota, Mazda, Honda, and Nissan seem to be pretty reliable.  I've had a Honda before and there's some little things that irk me, so I will look into the other brands.

Honda just bought Nissan. Hopefully Honda can fix Nissan’s sheety transmissions.

Not yet..... but it is supposedly a merger. Nissan also has a large stake in Mitz.

Maybe Nissan can fix Honda's supply chain/parts issues.

Know someone waiting for a VSA Module for a '22 Honda Pilot.  It's only been four months and Honda has no idea when the part will be available.

Ford’s electric Mach-E outsold the gas-powered Mustang for the first time in 2024

Quote

The Mustang Mach-E had its best sales quarter since launching in late 2020, with 16,119 models sold in Q4. With 51,745 Mach-Es sold last year, it was the second-best-selling electric SUV in the US, behind the Tesla Model Y.

Even more impressive, the Mach-E outsold every gas-powered Ford Mustang model in 2024. Ford sold just over 48,600 gas Mustangs last year, down 9.5% from 2023.

I dont care what Ford says.... they also gave us a four door Thunderbird which was quite sad really. Not to mention they almost told us that the Ford Probe was a Mustang..... thankfully someone with intelligence stepped in. This car has been a marketing ploy almost as bad as a rust through warranty.

When every vehicle Ford makes is electric..... then I will have no choice.

I had someone else change the oil in my truck the other day. I'm not sure how this works, do I start estrogen therapy right away or is there a consultation that happens first? It's my first time....
