August 17, 20205 yr People also saying mailboxes are being removed, but the post office said they just remove those not getting much use especially if they are clustered together. More people use email or other services so mail has been reducing anyway.

The argument being made, and the numbers seem to support this, is that the sorting machine decommissioning has accelerated significantly the last couple months. I think it's worth looking at. But I'd want to see some evidence of the pace at which these machines were being decommissioned prior to this election season, and a breakdown of how many sorting machines are actually being taken out of service vs. those that are being re-allocated to other distribution centers.
August 17, 20205 yr Where are the usual suspects mocking the poster sharing this conspiracy theory? https://www.newsweek.com/locked-mailboxes-circulating-social-media-1525480 Burbank has locked the mailboxes on Sundays when there is no mail service due to theft. And there are slots on the other side to fit an envelope to put mail in, the locks are on the side with the large opening to deposit larger envelopes and packages. Where are the "" from the CVON Snopes crew that fact check memes but not this?

August 17, 20205 yr I don't get the uproar over the USPS. I've never had issues with the USPS. I've dealt with them both personally and in business for the better part of the last 25 years. Their 3 day priority mail service has always been extremely reliable and at a fraction of the cost of UPS/FedEx or DHL. The irony is that UPS (among others) uses the USPS to deliver some of their packages after they get to certain hubs, etc. So although you "think" you are using UPS....you might only be using them for a "portion" of the service. That's not saying FedEx or UPS aren't good services....but in my experience, the USPS has typically been "just as reliable", specifically when using their "premium" services.

I made my point there, that each party can view certain factions as problematic. Liberals here say the radicals and crazies don't have influence and downplay them, that the majority won't let them accomplish anything. That was my point, not the subject of QAnon conspiracies which are crazy. I didn't defend QAnon at all. Let me make you feel happy now: Trump is a terrible President and his "war on the USPS" is a bad thing, mkay? The USPS locked boxes, I saw several people sharing it on FB panicking about a GOP Conspiracy to rig the election. I searched for info and only found articles from years ago about locks on Sundays to prevent theft, or to mitigate security threats. I came here to see if anyone was posting about it, thinking there might be articles or comments and it was another conspiracy theory. The tweet smokes posted included replies that debunked it. People here mock Zuke and Kz for not reading past the headline, but crickets when a liberal does it. It's just fun pointing out the hypocrisy and partisan blindness. If you feel your life is lacking my take on any topics feel free to tag me for a response.

August 17, 20205 yr 12 hours ago, Mike030270 said: These are funny Can confirm. The front of my house has a covered porch, down some stairs, and a short walk down the sidewalk to the street. Amazon will make sure the package is on the porch under cover. UPS leaves it on the stairs, out in the elements, rain or sun. FedEx will throw it in the yard somewhere. USPS will try to cram it in the mailbox on the street.
August 17, 20205 yr Almost no mail at all today. Probably the least I've ever seen. Especially for a Monday.
