You would deny him the chance to make history? It needs to be his call.

I would. This team’s goal is a Super Bowl, not a rushing record.

It needs to be his call If he wants to go you can't say no. The line already said they want to get it for him. You can't have that morale killer going into the playoffs. Let them do something special. If hes ok sitting then fine.

Why cant the goal be both? It's not an either or situation.

If he wants to play, honor his decision, only until he breaks it then beach.

Because an injury to Barkley derails any Super Bowl chances.

Besides, he needs his OLine out there and I wouldn’t risk an injury to them either.

Think about the morale killer if they lose Barkley or Lane Johnson to an injury.

An injury can happen at any time. I get what you're saying, but why not hype yourself up more as players? The more motivation the more someone will push.

My gut feeling is that the starting O-line will go to Lurie and Sirianni and insist that they play until the record is broken.  Are they going to tell those guys no?  No way.  The defense can rest.  Anyone banged up can rest.  But I don't see anyone stopping this O-line from taking the field if they insist.  This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all of them, not just Barkley.

Plus, F the Giants.  Let's stick it to them.

If barkley breaks the record, i say he outta give his oline another bonus on top of those golf carts.

if he wants to play, then let him play.  So many people complain players today are soft, and now those same people are afraid of injury.  What happened to men being men?

Yes, he should.

This is amongst the most legendary of NFL records. Worth the risk.

He needs 101 yards.  Get it in the first half and then bench everyone.  Jalen doesn’t need to start or play either.  Starting him would take carries from Barkley and make it harder to get the record.

Absolutely, and with the Lions injuries, I don't think it's far fetched. I just hope they can hang on and hold off the Vikings. I'd much rather Minnesota go on the road in the playoffs.

I don't specifically want to go to Minnesota for the NFCCG, but if we did and we beat them, that'd be a lot of fun.

The players on the 2017 vikings team are convinced the only reason they lost that game was because it was in Philly.

That's one reason I'd like to do it there, but only if we win.

We've played the NFCCG away from Philadelphia twice, lost both times (St. Louis and Arizona). So I'd like to have an Away NFCCG win under our belts. Doing it in Detroit would be easier, I believe, but doing it in Minnesota (winning it), would be more fun.

I think Siri is gonna leave it to the players to decide and give them a half to do it. One thing for sure though. They MUST give Hurts at least a series.

I feel like 2,000 yards is good enough. Rest and try for a chip.

This is NFL history. It would be unfair to the entire team not to chase it. It shouldn't take more than a half. Get the record, and rest.

I really want to see him do it especially against the Giants but I would much rather see our guys get some rest and come back in the playoffs refreshed and beat up on teams... No nfc teams really worry me but we need to be healthy... If I had to make the call im resting them

Yeah, Nick can and it's his job. The goal is a SB not a participation trophy. That's something special. It's not worth risking Maliata or Johnson over.

Lane just said "they are good with the 2,000, better safe than sorry"

if they didnt fork him over with all of those goaline TDs they gave to Hurts he'd be the mvp already. play him. he can break the record against his old team. nothing would be sweeter. this is a 100% attainable once in a lifetime thing. they have a decent chance at the super bowl but it's not likely

The eagles really got the most out of Barkley this year. With the record in sight, why stop now. Once he breaks it, take him out, wherever that moment may be in the game
