There are only 3 QBs I would take over Hurts.  Mahomes, Allen, and Burrow.  That's pretty damn good be thankful for what you have.  All the rest of the guys in the league are killing their teams with awful INTs etc.  Hurts wins football games.  Howie knows how to build and maintain a roster.  He knows that counting on a QB that can carry you solo to a Super Bowl is a fools errand.

And blaming the mediocre QB play on the OC year after year is also a fools errand.  
 

You seriously think Hurts is the 4th best QB in the league?  He isn’t even the best QB in the division.

Interesting. I just find it bizarre how eagles start the game with successful quick strikes, hurts sharp.. to ineffective Fing long developing plays. 

What how why?  The playbook feels identical to last season.

We're alive for another week. Hopefully Hurts is fine. Tough gritty game.

All Hurts has to do next week is be efficient in the passing game, protect the ball, and take enough pressure off the run game to allow Saquon to feast.

The conditions were disgusting for kicking, but I am slightly worried that Jake is going to cost them a game with a missed kick

So, YOU are guaranteeing Hurts throws for more yards than Daniels? Daniels will out-run him AND out throw him. Hurts sucks. He holds the ball forever, can't read a defense to save his life, took a safety in a playoff game.... flat out sucks. I would rather see tanner start.

The dropped INTs are frustrating.  It seems like every week there's at least one of them.  Shame they can't just start putting super glue on the CBs gloves.

I'm not worried about losing him. I'd rather keep him for continuity, but if another team hires him away, they are grasping at straws. He isn't ready for a HC gig and nothing is really popping off the chart about his job here after 1 season.

Herbert had the same QBR both seasons.  Under Moore he played 13 games and had over 3100 yards, 20 TD 7 INT with a 65% completion rate.  Very similar stats.

They lost Allen, Williams and Ekler and replaced them with McConkey, Dobbins and Edwards. Herbert had some crazy run of not having an INT this year. He probably wasn't pushing it through the air as much but it was one of his more efficient seasons before impoding in the playoffs. 

Moore had a number of injuries with the Chargers last year, but they performed pretty well when healthy. 

Having a look at the before and after with Dallas shows his impact. He was scapegoated and they wanted to 'run the ball more'. Their run game completely died when they got rid of Moore. He is a good offensive mind, but he isn't an Andy Reid offensive genius

I will say this: my only gripe with running so much is we have the most talented receivers we've had since Carter/Quick. We should have run this often when we had Pinkston and Thrash. Westy & McCoy were no slouches but even with them on the roster we were a pass first offense

Except that's not true at all. Moore has his weaknesses as a play caller and it was visible in both Dallas and LA.

It's unreasonable to expect them to coach/play a perfect game, what they have right now and the identity of the team is good enough to win it all

then nick should take accountability because that's his hire, not to mention if he's a great offensive coach that everyone says he is then there's no reason for our offense to be this bad because andy lost coordinator's and the offense didnt take a step back with eagles and the chiefs. it's great that they are the playoffs but there are serious flaws in this scheme that's why i dont have them winning the sb even before the playoffs, nick has to prove that can win a sb or else, they have to go to a new direction otherwise it's going to be the same issues and wasting talent over coach you refuse to replace.

He had an amazing season year before last you make it sound like its always like that.  And that was the second year with Steichan other than that he has never had the same OC two years in a row.  You think that doesn't matter?  You think I don't believe he has some flaws?  I can live with them with Howie's roster building if between Hurts and the OC they can improve on the bad sacks.  I just happen to think its doable.  What's the point in assuming its not? Call my a positive guy I will own it.

I didn't say he was the 4 best QB I said I would only take 3 other QBs with Howie's roster building.  Those are not the same thing at all.  Hurt's isn't killing his team with picks.

I like Jayden Daniels alot but he is a ROOKIE.  Take Stroud last year he was hailed as all time rookie next huge thing.  How has he been this year? He just destroyed his teams ability to win yesterday.  Jayden Daniels still has to go through all the things every rookie does.  3-4 years of every D coordinator figuring out your weaknesses and game planning you in off seasons.  Maybe he will end up great maybe not.

Hurt's is through that.  He has a couple steps to take to complete his transition into a excellent QB.  Much rather hope he can make them with all his other good intangibles than crap all over him and root against him.  Sounds like a crap way to watch Eagles games imo.
