Posted January 25, 2025Jan 25 Is it just people don't like the city? But there's a lot more shittier cities that don't get as much as hate as Philly. Or the fans? But from my experience Eagles fans are the greatest, most passionate sports fans in the world. And the more passionate you are the harder it is to control your emotions, whether good or bad, about your team or their opponents. Do they just not like and look down on a team that has won only one Superbowl in its modern history? But I thought people like underdog teams? Do they hate our players? Well no team is perfect, but does our team really have as many prima donnas or entitled jerks compared to like, oh let's say, the 49ers? Do they just hate the coach? Yeah Siriani is goofy as hell and not worthy of respect, but hatred?
January 25, 2025Jan 25 They hate us as fans. They think we are too mouthy and too hateful. And as a result they hate our players and our HC. I’ve been critical of Nick in the past but my friend (Whiners fan) said to me the other day… "The Eagles should make the SB at this point, but they need a new HC and QB after this season”. It’s fine nobody likes us and we don’t care. We are the best and most passionate fan base in the world. I live in the UK right… I go to some of the London games when I can wearing my Eagles gear. I can tell you other Eagles fans always shout "Go Birds”. No other fan base interact with each other like that in the UK.

January 25, 2025Jan 25 The rowdy, brutally honest, no f-s given attitude made me feel right at home. On game day sometimes I can't read here though, the bipolar reaches a fervor that is just not enjoyable for me. I love this team and usually get really nervous on game day and just don't want to be annoyed by people sh-- all over players on my team. So.. I kinda like how the fanbase is 'not liked'. And I guess holding people accountable is actually a plus. If I see how opposing stadiums are taken over by crazy Eaglesfans I feel proud (even though I have nothing to do with that...). Still sometimes I wish we could just enjoy without all the doom and gloom in between. That said it's the most awesome team in sports for me. Go Birds! 🦅

KC wasn't treated well until they got Mahomes and Reid and now Kelce and his GF. LA and NY are the biggest markets. GB and Pitt have won championships and sell a lot of merchandise across the country. DC has the next Mahomes in the nations capital where they want to build a stadium. Brady and Bill won and he sold a lot of jerseys because of his talent and looks. Many across the country see Philly as a nasty city with angry fans, so people root against us. They want stories that sell, especially in this age of social media, and outside of Barkley we don't have that. Also, that league isn't about integrity and fairness. It's about money and what sells.

Yeah i agree, thats why my main concern with the game is that the NFL wants to script a Mahomes vs Daniels matchup. I mean i think the least desirable outcome for them is another KC vs Eagles rematch. So lets see how this game gets rigged.

So you have a built in set of people who hate us as divisional rivals. The reasons you give are just fuel, but the true base of the hatred is that we're better than them through the years and we're at they're doorstep by and large.

I remember the year we hosted the 49ers in the NFCCG. There was a guy on the radio out here that went to the game. I don't know if we was a DJ or some other guy that worked for a local SF radio station and he said he actually feared for his life. He'd never been so scared at a sporting event in his life, and he goes to a lot of them. That being said, this goes back even before I was born, and I'm in my 50's.

January 26, 2025Jan 26 People are slways quick to point things out when it’s Eagles fans. But the craziness and bad stuff happens with every fan base. They just don’t show it as much because it’s not Philly fans.
