Which is also why so many other planes crashed at that airport that day. Hilarious how quickly becoming a liberal turns your brain to absolute mush.
February 19Feb 19 Two small planes collide midair in Arizona, leaving at least one person dead, officials say At least one person is dead after two small aircraft collided midair at an Arizona airport Wednesday, authorities said. A Cessna 172S and Lancair 360 MK II collided at 8:28 a.m. local time near the Marana Regional Airport, according to preliminary information from the National Transportation Safety Board. The aircraft "collided while upwind of runway 12,” one of two runways at the airport. The Cessna landed "uneventfully” and the Lancair impacted terrain near the other runway and "a post-impact fire ensured,” the NTSB said.

It's possible wind caused the crash, but to me it looks like the pilot maybe got disoriented and misjudged the distance to the ground. I know, all sorts of gages and controls to help prevent that, but they hit the ground hard, and it didn't look (not saying to didn't) like a downdraft hit it.

Right, so you weren't making fun of people who attribute the rise in these types of accidents to DEI, like you have all thread, you were agreeing with them and making fun of the people who might attribute the crash to black ice, which no one in this thread was. Got it.

February 20Feb 20 Oldest was just over. He said it's universally accepted among the pilots that he's talked to that the pilot misjudged the distance and hit the ground too hard destroying the landing gear. Total pilot error. That's their opinion.
