This was always a possibility. On a yards per play basis, Philly had the best D in the league, and something has been off with Mahomes and the offense all year.

Remember the time the chiefs were down 17 in the Super Bowl and Patrick mahomes turned into the qb hulk and the chiefs won 3 in a row? Book it. Chiefs are going to win. Philly is going to burn.

Andy’s unwillingness to run is what created this. Right from the start. Not his best effort

Houston and Buffalo didn’t have the D line play to make us pay for our **** O-Line. Philly does.

It’s not often that you see the Chiefs O this unraveled and completely lost. They were not prepared to face this Eagles D at all, and that’s extremely disappointing. Need some magic from our Defense on this drive.

Those AFC teams don’t have the defensive line play. Bills are soft as a tissue compared to the Eagles

Interesting that we weren’t worried about their pass rush outside of Carter and it’s basically everyone except Carter who is whooping their man. (Carter is probably whooping his man too, tbh)

It's just a better team. This is worse than Tampa. There was a reason I said this is the strongest team we'd be facing in any super bowl. I was condemned for my fear of facing this team.

We are in for a major Super Bowl loss hangover next season.
Silver lining: if the offense can get it going and mount a comeback, the fact that our run defense has done such a good job could bode well for keeping them bottled up when they try to run more in the second half. (love reading this, knowing they passed a TD to Smitty instead)

Somehow i feel like Sirianni's hubris will create some opportunities for us.

Here's the good news: 30 -40 minute halftime show creates a lot of time for self-reflection and opportunity for Andy to scheme some magic.

This thread ought to be interesting, it's a Forty-Whiner board. They seem to do the entire post season in a single thread, which makes it hard to find specific games because it's all in one. Tjat's actually one reason I'd like to have separate post-season threads for the games rather than lumping them all into the blog.

I did look thru about half of the GDT.  My favorite poster in there is Rausch (you have one of his quotes in here).  He continued to basically say "Eagles suck" even when it was 17-0.  Other posters tried to push back but he wasn't having it.  I think he ultimately just stopped posting.
