It makes very little sense for them to part ways with Stafford. Of course, I aint so smart. There are probably QB metrics / analytics and film analysis telling them that it's over soon anyway. Truth is, it actually does make sense to rebuild. Their window is likely over and they already got what they wanted out of the deal. They need to get younger at the position and see what they can get for him now while his stock is high. They were fortunate we decided to get conservative defensively once we went up 15. otherwise, they would've been blown out like the Commanders and Chiefs. Stafford also wants more $ and if they're smart, they don't give it to him.

"The NFL script" I agree that it doesn't make sense for the Rams to trade Stafford. He can clearly still throw the ball well...he just needs a better OL and more effective run game to support him.
February 27Feb 27 They were so close they've given half the roster permission to seek trades because they want out!

Rams weren't that good and struggled all year to put points on the board with the exception of like 2 games.
February 27Feb 27 Remember when the Colts hung a banner at Lucas Oil Stadium celebrating their 2014 AFC Runner-upship? Maybe the Rams can hang a banner at Sofi that reads "2024 almost made the NFC Championship”.
February 27Feb 27 Yeah, and the Cowboys almost beat the Rams. It was Game 1 in the 2024 preseason. Rams 13 Cowboys 12 Cowboys almost beat the Rams who almost beat the Eagles. So, Dak was right. The Cowboys are close to winning the SB.
February 27Feb 27 Belichick preached the "gotta have it” plays which occur in situational football. Rams didn’t execute in the red zone with a chance to tie or go ahead with just over a minute to play and Carter made two "gotta have it” plays. Game over, on to Washington then eventual Super Bowl champion. Talking heads immediately said Eagles got bailed out by the weather, but the weather kept that game closer than it should have been. DB’s were slipping all over the place and it helped the Rams with their final two drives and hurt the Eagles. Championship teams can make plays when they matter most, losers can only make excuses.
February 28Feb 28 Oh yes. Subreddit for the Rams is them whining about how they were a play away and they would have 100% won the game if not for the snow..

There's a side hustle for someone wanting to make some money. 2024 Commanders: beat the Eagles with their backup QB coming off the bench cold.

March 5Mar 5 Woulda, coulda, shoulda. PS- The Eagles were 1 play away from beating the Chiefs in Super Bowl 57 against the Chiefs.....

March 5Mar 5 If any Rams fans try to pull this out of their pockets, just tell them that the Bucs were 1 play away from winning the 1999 NFC Championship game. Flashback to January 2000. Bucs had 1st and 10 on the Rams 22 with 1:25 left in the game. 1st down was a sack for 13 yards pushing them back to 2nd and 23 from the Rams 35. 2nd, 3rd and 4th downs were all incomplete passes. Rams won 11-6. One of those incomplete passes gets caught in the Endzone and the Bucs go on to play the Titans in the Super Bowl. You can't 'one play away' a game in your favor unless you're willing to have it go the other way against you in other games. Now, you can ALSO say that the Titans were 'one play away' from winning that Super Bowl ... inches away, in fact (literally). So Rams fans, in their glass house, should refrain from throwing stones lol.
March 6Mar 6 @VaBeach_Eagle If Burrow gets like 1/4 of a second more he hits Chase for the game winner. The Rams are 2 plays away from no SBs at all. To be fair, the Eagles were about 8 plays away from losing to the Chiefs. I know its only 5 plays with TDs and 2 point conversions and a FG but Philly would have scored 61 if they needed it.

I wouldn't go that far with the Super Bowl, only because it had turned into a pre-season game by the end of the 3rd quarter and at some point, we put our backups in. Had it actually been a game at that point, the 'Chefs' would never have scored those last 2 TD's.
March 7Mar 7 When I was younger I was literally one step away on a dock in Connecticut from having sex with Christie Brinkley. So close.
March 8Mar 8 Know what, fellow rams mcvay & all, petition for the league to make you the Thursday season opener this September, make it happen, so we’ll cut to the chase & all this nonsense. Made more plays than you all, that’s why Lombardi belongs to the birds 🦅
