All I meant is it's reliably New England Democratic voting state but with a significant backwoods anti government/libertarian/anti outsiders demographic. I'll put it this way, if I had to blindly guess which state was potentially going to elect a blue collar Democrat with a totenkopff (spelling?) on his chest, Maine would be relatively high up on my guess order.
