July 29Jul 29 Coming off shoulder surgery and sliding right into pec injury. Howie shopped at Scratch-n-Dent apparently. Ugh. But they said it's not serious and "nothing to worry about" and that he'll be ready by start of season. That said, I just hope it isn't serious enough that he ends up tearing it a few games into the season.

But he’s missing valuable reps in a new defense. And he’s coming in already with questions over whether he can stay healthy and produce at a high level. This isn’t a disaster but it isn’t a great start either.
July 31Jul 31 Pec strains typically take a couple weeks of rest to get back to normal. This isn't a big deal and should give some of the other guys more quality reps. If I had to wager, I'd bet he'll be back practicing sooner than people are thinking.

Personally, I think Greenard will be a FP at practice before the season begins. He's unlikely to play in preseason games regardless based on what we know about how the Eagles approach preseason games. But even if he isn't "ready" to play in the opener, we still have Smith and Hunt who probably will technically be the "starters" every week anyway.

Smith and Hunt are playing this year for their lives. I’d be surprised if one doesn’t have a really good season.

August 10Aug 10 Crazy part is the defense has been dominating without him to this point. Of course the offense has been missing, Lane, Smitty, and Lemon too so that is a factor while they’re trying to learn a new offense.
