I dont see the celebrating. didnt matter what he did, there was no way they were going to spike the ball in-time.

Zack Ertz should want out just for the simple fact that Whiteside had more receiving yards

His only catch this year was completely meaningless. So that's nice.

Should help his psyche. Aghalor still looking good in Vegas.

Agholor has had some nice catches. I can't blame the Eagles for moving on though. It was time.

Don’t know who Dov is but he’s clearly never played a down of football in his life. He’s just looking to get some likes by piling onto the JJAW hate.

JJ is awful, but he did nothing wrong on that play and it was actually a nice catch.

That was a great catch.  A shame it didn't matter

Anyone notice the great block by JJAW on the big run by Sanders? I mean it was a hold and he’s lucky they didn’t call it but still.

It is well known that the Eagles wanted an Alshon replacement when they drafted JJAW. Size and jump-ball ability being the key attributes. I have posted here before that JJAW lack of athletic agility and explosion i.e change of direction, making cuts etc is the key reason he doesn’t seperate well at the NFL level. It stood out in his athletic testing as well.

From a measurables perspective Fulgham offers very similar athletic profile to JJAW with one key difference. His agility tested as good vs JJAW being very poor. The Eagles may have just stumbled themselves into finding someone who gives them exactly what they are after at that spot. Sure would be a nice make-up for the draft miss of JJAW.

Yeah, in fairness, they were at least 5 seconds away from getting the play off and his celebration was less than two.  Not smart, but not the reason we didn't get points there.  And, I don't think most WRs are going to purposely not catch that because of the clock. When you are that far downfield, your instincts are going to be to catch it.

Because of the time left on the clock, there was no way to clock the ball in time (as you point out). JJAW's lack of experience there is something he'd better learn from. Not really having NFL experience in that situation, he's probably in that college mindset that 1st down means the clock stops or maybe he thought we had a timeout. IDK, but he needs to learn from this so he doesn't hurt the team if there's a next time when we can stop the clock.

In JJNAW's defense.. It may be his only catch this season or career highlight,  so he felt he should celebrate.

The more i watch DK metcalf... the more i hate JJNAW!

People are going overboard on the JJAW celebration. Yes he should have better situational awareness to not do that but made absolutely no difference today. As others have said, there wasn’t enough time. There is plenty of real things to bash him about that we don’t need to reach for something so silly.

In related news, Metcalf is such a beast - love watching him play.

He made a good catch today

Metkalf. and  Reagor or Justin Jefferson...  with ertz/goeddert n sanders.  wouldn't be such a bad offense...  with a healthy oline ofcourse...

In on weekly DK Metcalf tracking. Game winner lol.

Like I said, metcalf is a straight up baller. We should let it go but it just hurts because he is the guy I wanted in the 1st round, let alone when he slipped to the 2nd

DK Metcalf is the goat

This is unofficially the DK Metcalf topic

I'll never forget hearing "the Eagles select Jj arcega whiteside" when I fully expected to hear dk. I also remember thinking who the f is Jj arcega whiteside.......

Yep, Metcalf and Raegor and this offense is completely different to what it is currently looking like.

Although I’m convinced that if they had hit on Metcalf (or had JJAW shown a thing close to being a competent player last year), they don’t go WR in the first this year. I mean this team has plenty of holes that could have used some help.

I don’t think there is a single WR in the NFL I’d take over Metcalf.

I think this board needs a Metcalf thread similar to the Vernon Davis thread in the old boards 🙂
