We will obviously disagree and think the other is an idiot so back to the trial.

That would be governmental overreach. You just compared library books to the government showing up at people's homes and demanding a psych exam.

September 19Sep 19 Yeah, that clip says everyone in the state who has a baby is going to get a visit and an assessment. Her words. If she meant voluntary visits she phrased it poorly especially with all the BS that's been going on in that state lately and especially in a state where white women can't even serve on a jury without an agenda.

September 19Sep 19 It's a shame she didn't succeed in killing herself, if she had there wouldn't be half as many people advocating her. It'd be treated like the Benoit murders. If I was the husband, I'd be on trial cause ain't no way I show up at home to 3 dead kids and leave the person who did it alive.

The state will be visiting every new mother for an assessment. That is clearly what she said. Again, if she misspoke that's on her. Correct, I don't trust her or that state with all the BS going in there.

So yeah in a state with the existing overreach current in the headlines for taking the Catholic kid (even with the rumors of what the father did) saying voluntary is necessary while saying all new mothers will get a visit for an assessment.

The press release already says it's strictly voluntary in unequivocal terms but because the press release is in words, and you're illiterate, you need her to verbalize it in every sentence otherwise your severely damaged brain defaults to it being mandatory. An incredibly smart and very normal person, and it's bizarre why a man of your intellect was ever fired from a "tech company."

Not from an ironic "my body, my choice", just from an operational standpoint.MA I would imagine has a pretty good ratio of providers to population, and the density is such that it seems feasible. I'm just wondering about other states more spread out.Are the visits being done by MDs or by PAs/NPs?

The service is available regardless of age, income or other eligibility criteria.During a visit, nurses can help with breastfeeding and newborn care, screen for mental health concerns and substance use, connect families with health care and social supports, and provide referrals for needs including domestic violence, food access and other community resources. Nurses follow up with caregivers by phone two to three weeks later to make sure they were able to connect with services, address barriers and provide additional support. In 2025, Welcome Family offered 1,620 postpartum depression screenings. Of those, 208 screened positive, and every person who screened positive received a referral to services.

We can arrange VNA for certain patients that need close monitoring already between office visits. I imagine it would work a lot like that just on a bigger scale. Fully agree it's not feasible in a place with a lower concentration of medical professional and more rural populace.
