If in your mind you are doing the right thing then there should be no reason to send your husband far away for food. Forget the planning, research, and premeditation, that shows guilt/shame/acceptance of doing something wrong. She knew what she was doing was a bad thing and multiple doctors said they saw no evidence of psychosis or postpartum. She Googled, planned, and then strangled three innocent children until one's eyes reportedly popped out of their socket. She then tried to kill herself and jumped out a window. You don't do that if in your mind you did a good thing.

Nobody who takes a life in cold blood is sane. That's no excuse. Murder 1.

Maybe. Unless she didn’t think her husband knew her kids were Hitler, to keep with the analogy.

I see today the jury is hung 11-1 , and it looks like in favor of NGRI. So I think I’m right

That's quite literally speculation.

Why did the defense attorney want the one juror thrown out ?

He has no idea what the vote is and admitted as much. His theatrics are irrelevant.

I don't give a f if they say NGRI. The crazy **** strangled three little kids and watched the life get sucked out of each of their bodies which takes major commitment after planning and research over multiple days and MDs who treated her saw no evidence.

Ladies club in here talking about murder trials

I will gladly watch you crash out over this one.

Nope. Just upsetting for our society that someone like that is getting that kind of support and possibly NGRI. Whole thing is F'ed up. Nothing I can do about it but those kids were angels and had to die not only suffering but horrified and scared watching their own mother choke the life out of them. If she gets off for murder it's BS. My life will go on but I'd think it's upsetting to any decent person.

I completely agree with you, man.

She's just going to go to a mental health facillity. She wont be walking free.

On top of that she has to deal with a f'ed up mental illness the rest of her life.

She absolutely can get out of the mental institution after a brief stay once this is all over.

Because she chooses to be.

Paul covered why that isn't good enough.

She was coherent enough to call CVS about her kids meds, coherent enough as she was in the middle of strangling them to call her husband back and spell out what meds he needed to buy for the kids on the fool's errand she was coherent enough to plan over multiple days.

She was also well enough that multiple doctors saw no symptoms. One could easily miss it, but multiple? Get real.

This wasn't the lady who was driving and decided to kill her kids by driving them into the water. This was methodically planned once again over days. When you can carry out those premeditated actions and strangle one of your own children to the point his little yes pop out of the socket it's the definition of murder one.

There is nothing we can do about it. However that one holdout is leaning it sounds like they will pressure them into changing, but one of the most disturbing parts of this are people like you who are good with her being in a mental institution vs the punishment she deserves.

Im just in the mindset of, like, "what if she did have a mental illness" and I feel badly about the whole situation.  You're not telling me the side of the story the defense put up, and I haven't been following closely enough to know what the defense is saying.  So you could be right, but I think if she does have a mental illness and it did cause her to come up with an elaborate plan, that is possible.

If that juror is as stubborn as me, no chance.

Problem with that is every murderer can claim "mental illness". When does the accountability start?

The question for me is "what did they think they were doing?"  Not "what did they do?" If what they thought they were doing was a bad thing, then they go to jail or get the death penalty (which by the way I am against the death penalty.)  If what they thought they were doing was not a bad thing, then they get the mental health asylum.

this whole deal is F'ed up, but in the end, the most horrible part about it is, there are 3 dead kids.

Everyone will just claim they thought they were doing the right thing. Easy get out of jail free card.
