Cooper had a terrible game. He was getting shook all game. He's got to be better.

Dline was there when needed. But the offense was far to similar and at times imprecise.

I can understand that point of view. I feel the line let the drives down more than jalen making bad reads or hanging out in the pocket too long or refusing to run. To me he did what he needed to do and looked overall really accurate. The offense as a whole needed more consistency but that line was rough at times

Not too sure, but did the Eagles run any slants in this game?

They win this game because, Jalen Hurts and Saquon made the most impactful plays. The defense did juuuuust enough.

The Carter Point after block kept the game from going into overtime.

The new offense didn't look that new, we still telegraph swing and screen passes like no other team in the league, the motion looked like the same one guy moving for the sake of it nonsense of last year, we looked rusty and unrehearsed first game up same as last year.

The bad stuff, the O Line performance is up and down, and all those stories about how Dickerson may not be a great fit for the new blocking scheme look to be true, he looked wretched out there at times, it's hard to watch him sometimes when you remember what he was 2 years ago, but there was a few missed assignments and unblocked linemen to go around, the blitz pickup was a couple of good with a lot of bad.

Saquon is still getting caught behind the line way too often, I hope this is first game rust and not just father time, but if he didn't have the one big run his statline would be a lot more reflective of his actual performance and it wasn't good.

We still don't run slants, we drafted a first round slot specialist and we still don't run short stuff underneath at all as far as I could see.

Our D Line got lots of pressures but couldn't get home at all, the Washington o line is down it's best player and had a guy who was poor at guard last year playing tackle. I thought the line would have a field day, the Washington O Line got free pass for holds that Jurgens got called twice for, but it was still an under performance by a D line that's very expensive in the middle.

Still for all that they still escaped with the win, hopefully they clean up execution with game speed football and the offense looks more new as we go along.

They beat a crappy Dallas team that went 7-9 last year, still has a terrible defense and a QB that makes mistakes in key situations, but because they are dallas the media loves them

Just have to pray it's week 1 rust, but for what is supposed to be a completely new offense it looks like a lot of the same stuff from last year

I got a bad feeling about the Giants and the Bears matchups, both teams look like they will give Eagles a beat down. Eagles virtually have zero pass rush from the DEs, interior Oline looks cooked also....

Defense did a lot to keep them in this one. So did the punter. He consistently pinned them down inside the 20. Baun played like a man possessed. Dejean played the worst out of most of the defenders. The rush didn’t get to Daniels much, but they had him under pressure most of the game. The offense has to become more consistent especially this run game. Half of Barkley’s rush numbers came on one run. Not every drive needs to end in points, but they have to stop making so many three and outs.

It's really destructive for our offense. Jalen was very good, didn't make any mistake and took what they gave it to him and had a couple vital run.

Baun MVP of the game. Mitchell and Woolen were awesome. DeJean was a bit off. The defense needed to play a lot of snap without much rest.

I don't know what to say about the offense, I truly believe that with a good enough LG we can do a lot of damage.

The NFL culture is to play the guy with the biggest salary. They will leave Landon in as long as possible for that reason until the cover of injury allows them to put in Kendall.

This team has a lot to work on and only one more warm-up game before we start playing real teams. The biggest concern is the OL, particularly Dickerson. If he doesn't improve fast, they're gonna have to make the "hard decision" to bench him. I just hope Sirianni will do that if need be and not play the game of "respected veteran starter" that can't be benched.

Yeah hopefully it was a wake up call for Dejean that he isn't god's gift to football and he still has to work at it.

He can't re run last year with Jürgens and Dickerson playing hobbled, especially in a new scheme, Lampkin isn't an ideal size but his experience and game is made for the blocking scheme we've moved to this year, and a 100% healthy guard who can play outside zone properly will always be better a gimpy one who can't.

Oh I agree, the question is how long (and if, really) it would take Siri to make those changes. NFL head coaches have this thing where they play the respected veteran starter no matter what...until there's an injury that forces the change. They have to balance not benching an underperforming starter too soon with putting the best players on the field to win. Hopefully Dickerson and Jurgens get right, but it basically seems they're picking up where they left off last year. The lone caveat is adjusting to the new style of OL blocking so perhaps there's a learning curve for them.

One thing I've learned about the NFL over the years is to not make ANY conclusions after the first week of the season. Except for the record, these are throwaway games when judging offenses and defenses......with so few starters playing in preseason, these are like the "get up to speed games". Plus with all the new OCs and DCs, now all the real adjustments can start.

What I mean is, next week is the real test.......LMAO 🤣

Just a reminder that in the 2017 Super Bowl season we played Washington in week 1 and the score was 20-17 with 2 minutes left in the game.
