Not a rule, but if you’re are going to condone killing another human being because of revenge, you should see it at least once. There’s a reason that wardens, guards and everyone else involved in killing another human have high rates of PTSD and mental health issues. Not that we didn’t know that already by the high rates of PTSD in our war veterans. The most hard core pro death penalty crowd thinks they should be public and required viewing for all citizens. For different reasons though, they wrongly think nits a deterrent and it’s not.

I eat meat in almost every meal (way too much red meat specifically), but I'd be the first to admit I'd become a vegetarian overnight if I was forced to spend 30 min at a slaughterhouse watching animals like lamb and cattle get killed and processed. It's a textbook example of cognitive dissonance.

Eating meat is one of my biggest contradictions with the what I’ve learned from Buddhism. I’m in no way a good Buddhist but following the 1st precept of not killing another living being is an easy one, at least when it comes to killing another human being. (Another great thing about Buddhism is that they don’t have commandments, they have precepts. I guess Siddhartha wasn’t an egomaniac like "I am.”)

I have never been to a big slaughter house, but I’ve killed and gutted deer and small game when I was younger. I could never do that anymore. Evolution made me a meat eater.

I could definitely get by on eggs and fish.

There's been enough public executions in this country over the past few year to make this one background noise, but why give this guy another moment in the sun? Just do it quietly, put out a short press release, and make him another pathetic footnote in the long history of traitors to this country.

If someone botches an execution, the failed executors should be executed.

I know this was meant to be sarcastic. As I understand it there is only one live bullet during this type of execution. It supposedly keeps the identity of actual lethal round from the participants. Then again just look at who’s in charge of it. Hell maybe Hegseth will be in the squad.
