I think Stoutland not there to keep him grounded might have been the final nail.

Thank you for everything Lane. The GOAT RT and one of the best Eagles ever.

See you in Canton!

GOAT and don't blame him at all. All the best.

It's hard not to read into this re: Eagles culture under Sirianni at least the last few seasons. So much drama, stress, BS internally (you know its there even more than what we infer/hear). When you are dealing with mental health stuff or later in your career its all it needs to become a tipping point to say "nope not worth it".

Wow

Coaches definitely lost the team. Siri might get sheetcanned if they get embarrassed on Sunday morning.

No doubt this team is going is going to get dragged on Sunday.

I don't see Lurie firing Sirianni in midseason though, but this will definitely be his last year barring some miraculous turn of events.

Might as well tank the season and grab a franchise QB.

Lane gone, all the injuries, terrible offense. Even IF we miraculously make the playoffs it’s one and done.

Great player! Great Eagle! Thank you, Lane!

Best of luck, be well and healthy and happy in retirement!

Super curious how they judge his history of failed PEDs tests with the hall. It was so long ago and he's accomplished so much

Enjoy retirement and thank you

I don’t think he makes it. Had a great run but as a RT it’s going to be even harder for him.

He brought us a lot of joy. You hope he’s going to be okay.

Imm have a lot more time with MY family now- just like Lane, because I am not watching the agony

this year is going to pile on us. LANE-TY FROM ALL OF US. YOU WERE THE BEST THERE IS. To Bell,

hey buddy, have confidence in your ability- the football gods are calling you in early. You got this.

See you on GDT sunday morning...

Dude is a total legend. An all-timer. One of the best ever draft picks for the Eagles.

Love him for everything he has done for this team.

Respect him massively for speaking up about mental health over his career and bringing attention to the issue. We know he is struggling right now but wishing him the best of luck

Thanks for all the fond memories and giving us two of the happiest days of our lives big guy.

Anyone else think he got his third strike for PEDs and this is a PR/legacy preserving move?

I was just thinking about the cap space now. Doesn't this hurt Howie a lot?

The league would have announced it because it's a 2 year suspension on the 3rd strike

There is rumblings on Twitter that the Eagles are headed for a 2028/2029 cap disaster.

Huff, Brown, Jurgens, Dickerson, Johnson, and Hurts is a lot of cap to eat. Lurie is truly broke now.

Surely the league would never sweep an ugly situation under the rug

I think this lane Johnson thing only boosts sirianni. I mean it's not his fault lane thought he could play and then couldn't.

There's no way it wouldn't get leaked by one of those reporters desperate to break the news

1st Eagles HOF Olineman ever drafted in franchise history possibly?

Not sure if you meant to word that differently. Chuck Bednarik is in the HOF. Bob Brown is in the HOF. Certainly, Kelce will get in pretty quick (probably before Lane is eligible).

And with this news, I think this is the nail in the coffin for this era's version of the Eagles. I'm seeing at least of couple of years of mediocrity before the Eagles can become relevant again. But the dominant teams of the Sirianni era - looks like that door is shut.
