September 21, 20205 yr You Commies always think two wrongs make a right. That's a big reason why a guy like Trump won in the first place. He was PREFERABLE to your childish nonsense like weaponizing the DOJ for political purposes. The left is a temper tantrum waiting to happen any time they take an "L" on anything.

Then wait until Breyer gets replaced next term I don't' give a f what seems fair anymore. There is no middle ground right now. FDR's court packing failed and so will this will too one way or another. You're about to be sorely disappointed in a couple months.

That is the modern liberal movement. They have abandoned their roots in individual liberties, and individual rights in favor of Big Brother. No thanks. This is such a lame, historically ignorant argument. Was FDR an enemy of the United States because of the New Deal? Most contemporary Democrats want little more than a return to the policies and ideological thrust of their party in the early 20th Century. I do agree, though, that they have turned their backs on individual liberties re: free speech, which to me is part of the bedrock of modern liberalism. It's concerning, and I often find myself pushing back against the cancel culture and extreme political correctness of the left's youngest generation. It's hard to respectfully disagree with this movement as a leftist and be acknowledged as an ally. You're more likely to just get attacked by the woke mob, which really just reinforces the complaint.

Even party boy Brett would have to rule against him when it comes down to it.

The Democratic Party is a party that embraces Socialism, and that ideology is the enemy of the Unites States. That is the modern liberal movement. They have abandoned their roots in individual liberties, and individual rights in favor of Big Brother. No thanks. 2. Roe v. Wade is decided and it is precedent case law. It won't ever be reversed. Many conservatives support the right to choose, even if they disagree with choosing an abortion. 2. It is my understanding that there have been 17 times of a possible 19 times when the President and Senate (same Party) advanced a nominee in an election year. It is irrelevant that an election is looming. RBG herself spoke publicly in NY on the subject, and her position was that the President doesn't stop being President because it's an election year, and when asked about the Senate voting on a Nominee in an election year her reply was "That's their job." I agree with her. If the strongest liberal voice on the SCOUTS says do it, that's good enough for me. And they were the only party to do so until 2016. Now they've got some company. Ain't that swell?

You guys have been acting like the rules should only apply to Democrats and we'd continue to sit here and take it. Well, congratulations genius. You now have the electoral majority's full and undivided attention. You better pucker the F up. The WH and Senate is changing hands next year. Democrats have my full permission to do anything they legally can to maintain power and institute every single part of their agenda, including the "Socialism" parts I'm against. Because, like you and the GOP have said, when you have the power you make the rules... oh and also because F the other side.

That's actually an entertaining response. focusing on the 2nd half of that 2nd sentence is a mistake though. Ask yourself why did a guy like Trump win by such a large electoral margin? What was so wrong with the Democrats that it happened? What have the Dems done to change their image/platform/etc. to avoid it happening again?

McConnell and the Repugs have 7/2 and there is no way to win. Anyone they nominate and push through will just end up coming back to completely blow up. I look forward though to the Dems taking control and basically playing as dirty as the Repugs and plowing through everything the right hates.

I've always been in favor of having grown ups in the room maintain some semblance of order and common sense. Seeing the complete 180 coming from Republicans after they refused to do their jobs voting on an Obama nominee has completely changed what I consider to be acceptable and common sense governance. The only rules for me now are what Democrats can legally get away with. So as of this very moment I am 100% in favor Biden and Democrats winning the Senate and legally changing the rules so that Democrats can get their two Supreme Court Justices back... and even a third for their troubles. I am also in favor of changing any Congressional rule or norm that benefits Democrats solely on the basis that it benefits "their side". Democrats have been treating Republicans like they are mentally retarded kid in school who doesn't deserve their time. For me and every other Democrat I've spoken to over the past week, that's ending now. There are no more rules. You Republicans want to act like it's a war between parties with no rules? Fine. Let's go. This is both accurate and incredibly sad.
