Who's not giving him credit? My point is that you have to look at them in context. You can't just point to a snapshot in time and say "everything was great here!"

When Trump came in he was handed an economy in the midst of one of the longest stretches of economic expansion in history. Say whatever you want about Obama, I tend to believe presidents have at most marginal impact on the economy so I certainly don't credit him as heavily as some do, but the reality is that the economy was in very good shape January 2017.

Nothing fundamentally changed with the economy, and things kept going as they had. That's really the story of it.

Trump didn't screw it up. So credit where it's due. 

But that's the reality. Please, change my mind. Show me evidence of tremendous growth.

And the stock market is not the economy. The stock market is how people feel about the economy. It's the "emotional child" of the economy.

He showed me a trend line that happened to start decreasing midway through an Obama's first term.  He didn't do anything for the white working class which is why they turned red and voted for Trump.

The only good thing is that states regulate the elections and their EC votes, so it makes it more difficult. You'd think places with Ds in control like PA, WI, MI, NC it'd be harder to toss out all the mail ins. I mean they are failing pretty good on the suits within PA from what I see. I can't see the military standing with President Snowflake either if he loses or starts trying to. The trend line decreased.  It didn't "happen to".  It just did.  You can credit magic or the underwear gnomes if you want, but the President gets credit and blame for the economy.  In terms of jobs, in no way shape or form did Obama "not support the working class" unless you have some weird definition that somehow excludes him from supporting them but includes Trump, despite Trump creating less jobs than Obama.
