Those contracts exist for 3 reasons. 1. to fill gaps created by his abysmal drafting. 2. To justify holding onto bad picks as if he was right. 3. To over-reward a few from the SB run.

Fix the draft and you fix the contract/cap issues. Get it right and you're not kicking the can down the road. He could do that part. He could manufacture trades that the talent evaluator says he needs. There are a few tasks he could do very well. 

I just don't see Lurie EVER dumping him completely.
