Fix the draft and you fix the contract/cap issues. Get it right and you're not kicking the can down the road. He could do that part. He could manufacture trades that the talent evaluator says he needs. There are a few tasks he could do very well. 

I just don't see Lurie EVER dumping him completely. 

He should. Howie is the reason for all of this and as long as he’s in the building he will be slinking around poisoning the owners ear.
