The EMB is a funny little microcosm. Every race, every social class represented (maybe)

Who do you think will take the election?

I will be voting for Biden. Not because of his merit, but almost solely due to the current president being worse than Nixon.

Should add another option for Jorgenson and/or Other.  I know several people in here aren't voting for either.

I don't care about them this cycle. Normally, that would be me voting other. I did that last time and we got Trump.

I actually make that same distinction in my head as I read through a mike posts. "Wait... is he the crazy one?"

which one is not-insane Mike?

there's one mike with numbers after his name and then there's mike mack

Mike31mt is clearly insane though.

No, he's right.  There's at least a few 3rd partiers in here.  Not-insane-Mike and TNT for starters.

I am going to vote for Jorgensen, because Biden will win CA by 30 points.

If my state were competitive, I'd vote for Biden. Therefore, I voted Biden in the poll.

I was trying to clarify between the 2 Mike's with numbers.  Didn't think about mikemack.  And yeah, Mike31mt is an unhinged lunatic.

I'm strongly leaning towards Jorgenson. Doubt she wins but the 3rd party needs more votes to let the other 2 know we aren't happy with who they've been putting up

I voted 3rd party last election and PA went to Trump. I thought that was unlikely as hell. (this is not a veiled dig at you or CA)

I don't think they'll care.  If you want to vote for purity/ideological fit reasons then go for it, but a few points going to 3rd parties isn't going to change the 2 major parties.

Well no but then I can say I tried at least

Same here in NJ. I did pick Biden in the poll though, because if I thought it would be close is definitely vote for him.

This is why every state needs to follow Maine's lead and adopt a ranked choice system.

BTW, if you want ranked choice, vote Dem in your state.  Dem controlled states have a lot more headway with ranked choice than Republican controlled states.

I don't want to remove the system. I just want the parties to put up better choices
