Outlaw Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 https://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/eagles-agree-to-sign-te-hakeem-butler-place-te-dallas-goedert-on-injured-reserve I really liked this kid as a Cyclone and was hoping they'd grab him in the draft. He's huge and athletic. Project for sure with the position switch, but a low risk signing. 2
Iggles25 Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Has all the physical gifts to be a great TE if he can stay healthy. With this year being a wash, give him a few weeks to learn the playbook and see what he's got down the stretch.
20dawk4life Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 They can call him a TE but he’s listed at 227 on Wikipedia.

Definitely thin for a TE, but huge for a WR. He's 6'5" Just now, time2rock said: So he's a 227 lb TE? Yeah but I mean he can gain 15-20 pounds like I have during COVID...making an a** dent on my couch and Doritos. 4
UK_EaglesFan89 Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I remember liking this kid going in to the draft last year... Interesting move.

Would much rather see JWHO cut and replaced with Butler to be that "big" WR. It's physically impossible for him to be a worse option than 0 catches for 0 yards. 4
Portyansky Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 SUPERBOWLZZZZZZZZZ actually 1st WINZZZZZZZZZZZ 2 3
eagle45 Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I'm sure they'll make the most of his talent. 2

Seems too slight really but he could be used on the outside.

Diehardfan Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Howie sure played it smart cutting that TE they liked who went to the Colts. 1

Just another example of Howie getting cute with the roster management thinking he could sneak him through waivers and add him to the PS. He got burned the same way we burned Detroit when signing Huntley. Thought for sure Togiai would have stuck as TE3 especially since we run a lot of 12 personnel and it seems it may be getting time to move on from Ertz. But it's OK ... we have Rodgers ... again. 2
metal Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Not expecting much from him. Maybe he can show something but there's a reason why the Cardinals let him go so quickly.
EazyEaglez Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 How long will it take for him to pass JJAW in receptions?
