It's interesting.  Since money talks, I wonder if Lurie is just convinced he is the best person to manage the cap and make the Eagles profitable with having enough star talent to fill the seats.

1) Player is a bust, fire position coach.

2) Hire a "football guy" to assist with draft. Howie can't do it all by himself! He's just a numbers guy!!!!

3) Blame busts on the "football guy" getting in the way (Barnett, S. Jones, Mack Hollins, PUMPHREY, Gibson, Arcega-Whiteside, etc.)

4) Fire/move on from football guy so Howie can handle the draft alone without any distractions

5) Repeat Steps 1-4

Lurie shouldn't wait until a situation hits rock bottom before stepping in, that's not how leaders operate.

If this season ends up at like 3-12 -1, I'd prefer Lurie just cleaned the whole thing out and started again, I don't rate Howie as a talent evaluator and am less and less convinced by Doug as a coach, because while the lack of talent can be laid at Howie's door, I'm convinced the early season sloppiness and constant injuries are because of Doug soft pedalling in pre season and training meaning the team is poorly prepared for the stresses of game speed football, and Wentz clear regression as a QB doesn't speak well of an ex QB head coach either.
