The only thing that scares me about Biden and Harris, and "The Squad” is that they are going to try to push our country to a socialist economy and a communist government.  Honestly, other than that I am totally fine with President elect Joseph Biden.

so for you diehard Democrats, is this something that you are also hoping for or willing to accept?

They lost seats in the House and are unlikely to take the Senate, so I think the pressure from the left flank will be much less than people anticipated. Honestly, it really wouldn't be in Biden's best interest to seriously appease for at least the first half of this term.

I appreciate your post, but how do YOU feel.  That was basically my question.  
I am curious to see if Democrats are hoping for a Socialist/Communist America.

The primary and general elections reaffirmed that majority of the country is generally centrist. I think the majority of Democrats want some modest expansions in public services, along with greater investments in education and infrastructure and a re-structured tax code that reduces corporate subsidies. They prefer a public option over single-payer, and they want climate change addressed but necessarily with the level of aggression of the Green New Deal. I generally fall along these lines in terms of what I think is really necessary right now, although I personally lean farther left than what would be representative of a mainstream Democrat yet not quite as far as you might stereotypically associate with my generation. The Squad gets all the publicity because they're boisterous and provocative, but they're really still just the fringe. So, no, most Democrats don't want a truly socialist America, even if they do want to increase the level of public investments and create a larger social safety net.

Not a dem but i think the system actually worked and the people decided they couldnt risk another 4 years of the divisiveness that is trump without ripping the country apart from the inside out.  
 

trump had good intensions (imo)for the country.  I supported his efforts to balance our international trade (for example).  Why do you think so many countries are celebrating his demise?  
 But he just brings out the worst in people and that isnt a trait of a good leader  

 Anyways, i think biden will have his hands full dealing with the virus and the economic damage it has (we havent even come close to seeing the real affects of it yet) done to so many.

Trump was like a doctor with horrible bedside manner.  He lost a lot of people right away.  His delivery was just horrible.  Go all of the Way back to when he made fun of a handicap journalist.  That was terrible.  Then it just got worse from that point.

Anyone how thinks this man is going to make a positive change (not that i personally want or expect government to help me) for the average blue collar joe is delusional.

im holding my breath until 2024 where hopefully we have younger and wiser candidates to choose from.

Biden will have to lead as a moderate. The real question is will Mitch McConnel be willing to work with him, or just do what he did to Obama and obstruct anything and everything? I think people are sick of the latter.

At least for the first couple years as he deals with the fallout from corona and hopefully a republican senate.

And this won't be due to anything Biden does directly but I expect social tension to go down A TON within the next year or so.
