It's not a terrible pick.  Technically it was exactly what we needed.

But to not make the move for Lamb?  That was horrible.

 at all the people calling this horrible. The 49ers just traded the rest of their draft for Aiyuk.

Just because SF jumped off the bridge doesn’t mean we had to, too.

There was exactly ONE trade in the top 20. Teams clearly weren’t making moves. It takes two sides to agree on a trade... it’s not like Howie could just force someone to swap with him.

I don’t hate the pick.  I am happy Reagor is on the Eagles. He’s the type of player they need. Game breaking speed/ability. He’s much faster than his 40- time at the combine.

Some will say it’s a reach pick. They could have picked LB Queen or Murray. Or Safety McKinney. I think they fit well on the Eagles and many had them rated higher. Here’s the problem - If they picked up another player on defense after neglecting the offense in FA; it forces them to pick WR in the 2nd round. Now they have some flexibility.

So I look at it as a need pick. What happens when you pick based on need is sometimes you overlook better players.

Teams were taking calls cause they were drawling down the time. To let the Cowboys get the best WR in the draft and then you let a better rec go by only to select a guy just for speed who is a project for route running and avg hands is beyond me. This was a Al Davis im in love with speed move. I can bet Andy Reid talked Doug and Howie into this pick, comparing him to Hill.

if this was a trade back, no prob, but they reached on this pick at 21. A lot more players avail with more talent, even in other postiions. But they reached for a "need"

Wiki says that Jalen's dad, Monte Reagor is a coaching intern for the Eagles. Is this up to date?

Edit: All the way at the bottom of the article it says 2011, so not current.

Five spots is not some wildly unreasonable move.  If it wasn't for Atlanta, AJ Terrell would probably still be on the board.

They could've made the move at 14 with San Fran.  They openly talked about wanting to trade back.

Problem is, he is not a 1st round pick, so why did the Eagles make him one? Reaghlor drops the ball way too much. Yeah, let's have more of that, because obviously the Eagles haven't had enough of it. "Let's get a really fast guy... who can't catch...but dam_n, he is so fast!"

@Ray75 got his guy.

Im just glad it wasn’t #2 on his own college team Jefferson.

Well...I took him in the EMB mock because I just had a hunch Eagles would take him...

Personally I would have loved a trade up for Lamp (thought I couldn’t hate the Cowboys more...I was wrong) and really wanted them to take Jefferson at 21.

Don’t dislike the Reagor pick but it was a bit too early for him to go at 21 IMO.

You have no idea what was talked about. San Fran did trade back. They managed to trade back one spot and pick up some value instead of trading all the way back to 21.

He had one of the least accurate QBs in the country throwing to him. And yeah, he was a first round pick. Many have been saying over the past several weeks that he is going to go earlier than the initial 2nd/3rd round projections.

The only good thing about the Cowboys taking Lamb is that they had a lot of holes at other positions. It's not like Lamb is going to be a massive upgrade over Cobb right away. And they lost an all pro center, a pro bowl corner and a really good pass rusher that they are replacing with ??? So did they get better? Probably not.

Reagor gives the Eagles a freak athlete who can score from anywhere on the field. You wanted Tyreek Hill? Well, now we have him. He ran a slow time at the combine, but was clearly faster than that on tape and posted a world class time at his pro day.

Couldn't of said it better

0:53, That mirrors Desean's punt return vs the Giants.

I'm okay with it, but Reagholor made me LOL

Naw, I can’t agree. Reagor wasn’t lasting much longer if the Eagles didn’t take him. I’m not even convinced that he doesn’t go to Minnesota it the Eagles has traded back.

Like I said, going to be fun looking back and this thread and laughing at this once this kid gets on the field with Went. Gonna be like the Shady bust thread all over again.

Lots of people said lamb and jeudy were the best receivers in the draft and weren't even the first 2 drafted so what do we know?

Aarron Moorehead has his hands full. Now he needs to teach two young guys how to run routes and improve hands. He might be a scape goat in a year.

They could have gotten this guy in the 2nd or 3rd round. I'm pissed they threw away another 1st round pick. You CAN't keep doing that, but they do. They could have gotten a 1st round WR AND this guy. Stupid.

They would not have had him in the 2nd, BUT they could have traded back some if any teams were interested to get him. To pass on a pure route runner with great hands though for just speed was a poor choice. Im sure Reid spoke with Doug supporting him and comparing him to having Hill and having Reagors father coaching for the Eagles Im sure played a role in this pick.

I would have been less upset if they took Mims at 21

He doesn't coach here anymore but he used to play here.

Anyway I vented on the other board. Needless to say, I'm not happy. And that probably has more to do with what happened with Lamb than this.

This needs to be Howie's last pick ever.

This needs to be your last post ever. He isn't going to get fired today so stop saying it over and over and over.
