Picture this: impact of Reagor on offense

It’s 3rd and 4 against the Cowboys.

Sanders is in the backfield, Goedert is at TE. Ertz is split out wide in the X position. Jackson is in the Z with Reagor in the slot.

Wentz, takes the snap - playaction! Fake to Sanders who starts a wheel route. Ertz is running a slant, Goedert a crossing route. Jackson is on a fly route with Reagor running a deep post.

The Cowboys don’t have Byron Jones anymore....

The Eagles Cowboys games could become real shoot outs this year actually! Lots of potential on both offenses.

Just get me some DBs in here.

So you think Reagor is the difference between fielding a crap offense and a good one.

No I just think in that scenario.

Then imagine Cooper, Gallup, Lamb and Zeke ripping us a new one over and over again from multiple routes the rest of the game. Until Reagor learns more then a go and stop route its predictable. Will the Eagles throw more routes at him? Of course but like Whiteside you cant just hope for the best.

Now imagine this- 3rd and 4 and the Eagles have DJax on a go, Jefferson a pure route runner on a mid cross, Sanders on a up and out, and Duvernay who is just as fast and better hands on that post route.

Point is there are still nice speed WRs on the board and will be into the 3rd. There was only 4 pure route runners with a big route tree and one was there for the taking and we passed. Only one left in Pittman.

He runs more than that.

Watch the tape, he rarely does.

Just hoping Moorehead can turn this kid from a Tavon Austin to more of a Percy Harvin. Reagors success will be solely based on if Moorehead can get this kid to be a better route runner and improve those hands.

Idk what "tape" you watched but even his YouTube highlights show him running crossing routes, jet sweeps, screens, lining up in the backfield, posts. He's a tad more advanced than stops and goes.

Sorry but Jet sweep and a screen is not a route. You dont see much more then stop and go in his college career. Did he run a rare post or cross? sure. But hes not polished in any of them. He relies on speed only to get separation. You cant do that in the NFL. He has a lot to learn to be a success. Lets just hope him and Moorehead can get on the same page and put in the work.

I know everyone is still upset about not drafting Jefferson but it's spilled milk at this point, you can keep crying over it or deal with what we got left.

Reagor is going to help this entire offense the more I sit and think about it. His and Jackson's speed combined should keep opposing defense wary, then add in Sanders, who proved his rookie season he is no slouch catching the football, coming out the backfield on screens, sets up a potential high scouting deadly offense.

Can't double Ertz anymore which should open him up more, can't really bracket to a certain receiver because teams can be burned by 2 to 3 playmakers( as long as Jax stays healthy) that can stretch the field. So it's really a pick your poison type of approach a d the more I sit on it the more I like the pick.

Jefferson is a do everything receiver but we have 1 of those already in Ertz. If Djax goes down(again) and we need a Receiver to replace what he brings, then Reagor is a better fit here than Jefferson would be.

Then add Sanders into the Mix with his explosiveness out the backfield. Our screen game is I already top notch, now add Reagor to the mix and what we have is an offense to be reckoned with.

I just hope we somehow draft Mims also, I'd we can draft him then the Reagor pick should be all the more appealing.

You can teach a route tree. You can't teach speed

The potential is there for everything you describe above.  Let's hope he can catch the ball.

actually they are routes and there are right ways and wrong ways to run them. If you dont see more than stop and go thats on you for not doing your homework.

I love this mental imagery.  I just hope we're not down 40 points at this point in the game.  Their offense got a BIG boost last night.

Personally I’m just disappointed that Lamb got so close and Dallas snapped him up.  I had just said to my wife just before their pick to watch Howie move up for him.  But obviously takes two to tango ... perhaps he tried and the teams he was trying to deal with were unwilling to trade down.  My biggest concern with Reagor is his hands.  Some attribute that to poor QB play.  Time will tell.

Dallas had bigger needs than another wr for sure.  And how do they pay all these skilled position studs?

its almost like the pick was more to keep us from grabbing him.  Like we did to them with goedirt.

i have a feeling they regret the pick having cooper and zeke already.  Too many weapons to keep happy.

So it's a false start or a drop, right?

He has positive scouting on his route running and that shows up on film. The knock was inconsistency with his hands.

His upside is as a bigger and stronger Desean Jackson. Hopefully he can correct the hands issues.

Yes he has speed but his knocks are not tracking the ball well and drops. Sound familiar?

He is going  to much more valuable to this team than agholor almost immediately.

i know you dont take guys in the 1st because of return skills but that was a need for us as well and we filled that as well.

also i Dont think tracking the ball in the air will be an issue unlike agholor who looked blind in that regard
