Whew, PC over.  I did my best to type feverishly and paraphrase Lurie's answers.  I know not everyone can watch the video and might be browsing at work or scrolling phone while doing whatever.  B-)

Really liked this pc. Agree with almost everything he said.

And his dream of an "elite offense" makes me smile!

Somebody needs to do a remake of Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love" and change it to "Addicted to Howie". Lurie could be singing with a bunch of dancing Howie's in tight black suits.

Seriously this ish is getting me so angry. Isn't it the job of the GM to balance short term and long term? Are we supposed to wait 5+ years with every player because they may possibly be another BG? What utter horse ish.

You know what... Howie is the biggest issue but it turns out our owner is right there as the next biggest.

He thinks we as fans are dumb and that we will eat this crap up.

Exactly.  Even teams that are at the top of the league have both the short term and long term picture in mind when evaluating and acquiring talent.  Keeps them competitive now and for the foreseeable future.

Nah, Howie was problem 1 leading up to the final game. Lurie has overtaken him now. Problem is, he can’t be fired.

Huh? Hurts had an injury and they still put him out there for 3 meaningless quarters? Then they should’ve played Sudfeld the entire game.

Really frustrated with that Lurie press conference overall.

Yeah surprised no one followed up on that point.

What an absolutely insulting press conference...no wonder Doug peaced out.

You may well be right. Because ultimately Lurie keeps Howie around.

There it is then. That's the move. May as well try and dress it up like the move the organization wants to make. Because tomorrow morning Lurie is very likely going to find out that this is not an attractive job for the best young coaches.

If they don't get anyone outside they can easily say they always liked Duce all along.

What a load of garbage. I do not feel any better about the direction of the Eagles after that mess.

Precisely. Lurie is probably going to find out tomorrow that this is not a good job and not one many people want.

Since Howie's existence is reliant on Lurie, logic dictates  that Lurie is the biggest issue.

I’m surprised no one else has picked up on the fact that lurie effectively told us to expect a crap 2021 season as we are in rebuild mode. So sack Doug because he wants to compete next year, but let him take the flak for tank gate. Nice one.

Nevermind the arrogance coming off of the season we just had. "I’d put our record up against anyone’s in the league” or something to that effect was said. Well we did put our record up against the rest of the league, and it was embarrassing!

When he said that I thought he was referring to Reager. He said Jalen on a team with three of them. 😂

Oh absolutely. What I've learned in the last 40 minutes is that our owner is a big big problem.

How are you not? Didn't you all want a rebuild over 2-5 years? That's what he wants, and that's what he says got Pederson fired.

All I can say is... They've done Doug a favour.

Question: have you been evaluating potential HC candidates.

Lurie: I'm always watching other teams and evaluating to see what's out there, learn new schemes, ongoing research no matter what.  Always be prepared to lose a coach...did'nt know we were going to lose Frank Reich but set things in motion to replace.

He used replacing Reich as an example?!?!  That was a complete failure!

I'm just finishing the press conference now.  What a complete embarrassment this is from Lurie.  Absolutely terrifying how in love is with Roseman to the point where he isn't at all capable of saying anything negative about him, in fact he can't say anything about him that isn't overwhelmingly positive.

Lurie blamed Doug for tankgate.

I am not sure this is the right change without Howie going as well.  However, I will say I wasn't very excited to watch the Eagles next year if no major changes happened.  I wanted significant changes to the offense and had zero confidence that would happen with Doug unless he brought in a top OC and gave them the reigns.

Sorry bud, but I have zero confidence Howie is the one to fix this in 2-5 years. It’s utter nonsense.

The way he said: you all don't know what happened and maybe I'll someday write a book about it sure gives me confidence.

And I don't even think we are as bad as you all make us out to be.

Need to get rid of Howie too. But thank god Doug is gone.  The past 3 years have been painful to watch. An offensive embarrassment.

Maybe Eagles football can be fun again.
