With the big rumor that Brees is finished and retiring,  what are the odds of Watson ending up in N.O. ?

Wentz (&maybe extra) for Watson straight up

Look I'd 100% do that, I think a lot of fans would do that. But there's no way Houston do that.

Hmmm the NFC South has some old QBs. Brees, Ryan, Brady, and the Panthers QB is nothing special.

Wonder if any of those teams could be trading partners with the Eagles?? 😎

Holy smokes, I’m hearing the asking price is 3 1st rounders, 3 second rounders and a player.

You have gotta be joking!!!

That's a bold strategy, Cotton.  Let's see how it works out for them.

Watson wants out. Wentz apparently does as well.

Yeah and let's say both are true... Watson is a much better player than Wentz at this point so Wentz for Watson isn't going to get it done. Now Wentz + #6 +#middle to late round pick? That may.

According to the team source, per Allbright, the Texans would need three first-round picks, three second-round picks and a Pro Bowl-caliber player to consider a deal.

Nope.  Try Wentz + 3 1st round picks + 3 second round picks.  HARD PASS.

Ofc itll take more than wentz to get it done. Its a stretch for wentz to be worth a first. Even though somehow we got a first for bradford.

Zero - the Saints are in cap hell, cannot afford to sign Watson.

Did you even need to make that post, lol. The guy had to be kidding (or he's a complete idiot).

It would take Wentz plus multiple high picks.

Umm I think you can add to that to be honest! Wentz isn't a pro bowl calibre player right now so I think that would be a hard sell.

I mean I think he's worth a first and change but that contract is an issue.

Too bad Bill O'brien isnt there any more.  He would buy the following argument:

Sure, we'll meet that, here is what we are offering

#6

Wentz - Former First round pick

Brandon Grahman - Former First round pick

Ertz - Former Second round pick

Djax - Former Second round pick

Alshon - Former Second round pick

Kelce - Pro Bowl Player

Houston gave Watson enormous power when it signed him to a four-year extension earlier this season.

He has the right to not report, which would force Houston to find someone to take him. Yet he also has a no-trade clause, which allows Watson to effectively pick which team he wants to go to, limiting the Texans’ bargaining power.

That is an insane contract. They screwed themselves.
