No but alot do and that should be what you are looking for in Round 2. Not a bench warmer.

What you should be looking for is the guy that helps you the most to win another super bowl. If Wentz misses any time (especially in playoffs) that is Hurts.

And then you do keep value. And you can use him. And you free up some cap space. And you have another dedicated guy in that room.

Given that this isn't the first QB ever drafted in round 2 I think it's not so outside of the norm.

Yes QB's have been drafted in the Second round. As replacements for  QB's in their mid thirties who are a few years away from being out the door. Wentz is 27. Just off his Rookie deal

He isn't even going to be our backup this year. He isn't NFL ready. He is a project. Hurts is not going to take over for Wentz and lead us to the SB. You guys seriously need to get off the Foles scenario. It isnt happening again. Anyway Foles is miles above Hurts.

Hurts will be the backup and will be ready.

The one downside to this is all the talk we are going to hear going forward.  The media and fans wont just support both of them. But if the players in the locker room do it’s a non issue.  But it will be annoying for sure especially in TATE.

And he hasn't finished the year as the starter the last 3 straight years. You seem to be leaving that fact off when you say 'he's just 27'

No he isnt. I am a Alabama fan. Do you know what Hurts is? A faster Tebow. Also granted slightly more accurate. He does not drop back in the pocket and throw. He runs around, looks at his first read and if that isnt available it's time to run. There is a reason One of the greatest College coaches ever went in a different direction.

All of this is with the assumption that we actually have a season this year. What the hell happens if we don't have a season? Do we still have a NFL draft or is it like coming back from a 1 year Thanos snap.

You want to count a cheap shot spear to the head? That would have taken anyone out? He  played outstanding last year and was very healthy.

Hurts has made big progress last year after leaving the tide. He will be ready.

He is not going to be the number 2 this year.  All of you that think Hurts can pull a Nick Foles are delusional.

Im holding out hope he is trade bait for Yannick. The only way the pick makes sense.

He will be. And I will at least say that he has a way better chance than any washed out FA QB you can overpay.

It's just the truth bruh. Can't be changed and I want Wentz to succeed because he's a good QB. Staying healthy is another story.

Yes. Does that lessen the fact that he hasn't made it? Call it bad luck or whatever you want. Reality: Wentz has not finished the year as a starter in 3 years. If you're most important player hasn't finished a season as the starter since 2016 man that's gotta cause some anxiety.

You mean SB MVP Joe Flacco? yeah at the end of his career , but he is at least NFL ready and has the experience. Plus he doesn't make you waste a high draft pick.

Same here. I'm a big Wentz supporter. But man... he just can't get right when it comes to injuries. When he's on the field and healthy man there's no doubt he can ball.

Wentz is our future not some Alabama washout. You do remember that he was sent packing by one of the greatest College Coaches of all time right?

Wentz is our future for until his contract is up... yes.

"NFL ready and has experience" sounds like code for "let's pay big Millions to someone that will f-ing suck"

You do realize that Wentz is probably the best QB we have had in any remotely recent history right? But hey lets run him outta town.

Who is running him out of town?

Hell no, I am a huge fan of Wentz. But if he takes a concussion in a big game, I want someone that actually has a chance to keep us in it.

If that guy then came on a cheap contract and could be used from time to time... even better.

And if he would be a good guy that we eventually get something in return for? Let's go.

Oh and by the way: Flacco is going to end up somewhere. And he will f-ing suck. You'll see.

As opposed to a guy that was benched in the middle of a national Title game by one of the best college coaches ever?
